Washington: Head coach Jimmy Lake will take at least a 5 percent pay cut and assistant coaches will take minimum 3 percent cuts, as part of department-wide cost cutting. Similar cuts will be applied to all Husky teams.

This position will work directly with the Defensive Coordinator and assist with a position group. Other responsibilities include, but not limited to, mentor members of the football team and model Christ-Centered leadership, assist in all aspects of program operation as determined by the Head Coach, and fulfill any additional department responsibilities as determined by the Athletic Director. SWAC: The SWAC has completed its expansion by announcing the addition of Bethune-Cookman.

Louisiana-Lafayette: Cajuns athletic director Byran Maggard is getting a new 5-year contract that runs through February 2025. Maggard joined ULL in 2017 after over two decades at Missouri.

Wake Forest: Demon Deacons head coach Dave Clawson told ESPN he will coach apart from his wife Catherine, a cancer survivor, this season. He is not the first Power 5 head coach to make this call.

Morehouse College (D-II – GA): Morehouse College has cancelled their football season, the school has announced.

Los Angeles Chargers: Cedric Williams has accepted the Bill Walsh Fellowship with the Chargers. Williams served in an intern role with the Eagles last summer, and is the former offensive line coach at Georgia State University.
