Games on Tonight: There are five games on to enjoy tonight. They are: Syracuse at Louisville (7pm EST on ESPN), Purdue at Minnesota (7:30pm EST on BTN), UMass at FAU (8pm EST on CBSSN), New Mexico at Air Force (9:30pm on FS1) and the nightcap is UCLA vs. Oregon (10:30pm EST on ESPN).

Minnesota: Offensive line coach Brian Callahan recently tested positive for COVID and will not coach tonight against Purdue. Pete Thamel adds that the Gophers will be without 20 players and “multiple staff members.” Director of player development Norries Wilson, who previously coached the running backs at Rutgers from 2012-15 before taking over as interim head coach for three games, will take over the offensive line duties for the game.

Eastern New Mexico (D-II):  Eastern New Mexico University is now accepting applicants for a graduate assistant coaching for an offensive skill position. Compensation includes $8500.  Job duties include coaching a position, recruiting area, and being proficient in HUDL. Additional duties within the HPE department may be assigned as well. ACC: Thanks to a new proclamation by the state of Pennsylvania, two ACC teams will be forced to wear masks during tomorrow’s game. Update> Well, maybe not.

American: The American has moved half a dozen late-season games around, creating the opportunity to arrange a Top 10 non-conference showdown.

Troy: Head coach Chip Lindsey has tested positive for COVID-19. He will not be present for Troy’s game Saturday with Middle Tennessee, but the contest remains on. Special teams coordinator Brian Blackmon will be interim head coach.

Tennessee: Athletic director Phil Fulmer shares that he has tested positive for COVID, adding that he is asymptomatic, is currently feeling fine and is following the isolation protocol.

Dean Pees: Back in January, the Titans defensive coordinator announced his second retirement from the coaching profession at age 71. After a season not able to travel like he’d like due to COVID, Pees tells the Tennessean that he’s missing coaching a lot, and would consider a return if the right situation came along. Pees has coordinated defenses for the Patriots and Ravens and served as the head coach at Kent State from 1998-2003.

Miami: Manny Diaz has tested positive for Covid. The U’s next game is December 5th. Hopefully Diaz is back with the team well before then.

Charleston (D-II – WV): The University of Charleston is seeking undergraduate student assistant coaches. Student coaches will help with practice and game preparation, drills & equipment set up. Other responsibilities will have equipment duties, as well as practice organization. This is a great opportunity for individuals to gain experience in college coaching, organization, and recruiting.
