USC: Oregon cornerbacks coach Donte Williams is expected to become the cornerbacks coach and pass game coordinator at USC, according to multiple reports.
Glendale Community College (CA): Former Glendale player and assistant Tanner Farwell will be the new head coach.
LSU: Ed Orgeron has his replacement for Joe Brady. Also, defensive backs coach Corey Raymond will make an average of $600,000 per year on a 3-year contract, the school has revealed.
New Mexico Highlands (D-II): As we reported late last week, New Mexico Highlands has now officially named Josh Kirkland head coach. Kirkland was assistant head coach / running backs at Incarnate Word this past season.
Cincinnati: Luke Fickell explains why he turned down Michigan State to remain at Cincinnati.
LA Wildcats (XFL): The club has parted ways with defensive coordinator Pepper Johnson after an opening-week loss to the Houston Roughnecks.
Tennessee: Jeremy Pruitt’s staff will look significantly different in 2020 than it did last fall. Here’s an update on the Vols staff.
Minnesota Vikings: Veteran NFL defensive coordinator Dom Capers has been announced as a senior defensive assistant. Capers has coordinated defenses with the Steelers, Jags, Dolphins and Packers and served as head coach with the Panthers and Texans. He spent last season as a senior defensive consultant with the Jags.
Green Bay Packers: Connor Lewis, who has been with the team four years and worked as a football technology analyst under both Mike McCarthy and Matt LaFleur, has been promoted to a quality control role.
UCLA: Fomer USC assistant Johnny Nansen is expected to join the Bruins as defensive line coach, per 247. Nansen coached the inside linebackers for the Trojans and spent six seasons at USC.
Washington Redskins: The team has officially announced the addition of Jennifer King as a full-year coaching intern. In that role she will work with the offensive staff, and assist with the running backs.
Tennessee: Akron outside linebackers coach Shelton Felton is returning to Tennessee in an on-the-field role where he worked as quality control analyst in 2018, Bruce Feldman tweets.
SMU: Chris Brasfield, SMU’s running backs coach in 2019 has been promoted to special teams coordinator. Ra’Shaad Samples has been promoted to running backs coach and AJ Ricker has been promoted to co-offensive coordinator / offensive line.
Fordham (FCS – NY): Fordham University has an immediate opening for a defensive quality control coach. This is a volunteer position. Housing is not provided. Responsibilities include: film breakdown/scouting reports, offensive scout team organization, assisting in various recruiting efforts, in addition to other responsibilities designated by the coaching staff. FAU: Brock Willis ,who has been with Willie Taggart in various quality control capacities at South Florida and Florida State, is joining the FAU staff in a quality control role on defense, source tells FootballScoop.
American River (JC – CA): Per source, Pacific University (D-III – OR) defensive backs coach Christian Williams is joining the American River staff.

Arizona State: Vikings assistant defensive line coach Robert Rodriguez is expected to join the staff as defensive line coach, Adam Rittenberg tweets. Rodriguez has been a part of the Vikings staff since 2015 and started his coaching career at UTEP.
Houston: Former Old Dominion special teams assistant Frank Wilson has joined Dana Holgorsen’s staff as special teams analyst source tells FootballScoop.
Cincinnati Bengals: Former Nebraska offensive coordinator Troy Walters is joining the staff as assistant wide receivers coach, per Paul Dehner Jr. Prior to Nebraska, Walters served as Scott Frost’s offensive coordinator at UCF as well.
Central State (D-II – OH): Bobby Rome II, who spent the past two seasons turning around the Virginia-Lynchburg program, has been named head coach. Rome II also served as the school’s athletic director.

Houston Texans: Tennessee outside linebackers coach Chris Rumph is joining the Texans staff, Rivals reports. We’ve been hearing, and shared earlier today, that Rumph had been speaking with a number of NFL teams.
San Francisco 49ers: With Joe Woods gone to become the defensive coordinator for the Browns, the team is hiring former Dolphins defensive backs coach Tony Oden to coach their secondary, Ian Rapoport tweets.
Appalachian State: Robert Nunn, who has 15 years of experience in the NFL, is filling the final defensive spot on the App State staff, Pete Thamel tweets.
Tennessee: Colorado defensive line coach Jimmy Brumbaugh is leaving to join the Vols in the same capacity, Bruce Feldman tweets.
Cincinnati: After meeting with Michigan State officials yesterday, Luke Fickell has decided to remain at Cincinnati, per reports.
South Carolina: Tennessee defensive line coach Tracy Rocker is leaving to become the new defensive line coach for the Gamecocks, 247 reports.
Youngstown State (FCS – OH): Yesterday, we reported (per sources) Doug Phillips was planning to hire Troy Rothenbuhler as his offensive coordinator. Today, we can add that he plans to retain offensive line coach John Peterson. Further, sources add that Phillips plans to hire John Carroll University defensive coordinator Joe Schaefer as his defensive coordinator. Phillips and Schaefer worked together at Iowa State in 2016 when Phillips served as director of player personnel and Schaefer was director of scouting. Source tells FootballScoop Phillips plans to retain Cole Peterson in an operations / recruiting role.
South Carolina: University of Tennessee director of player personnel Drew Hughes will join Will Muschamp’s staff, filling the slot previously occupied by Matt Lindsey who left to join Lane Kiffin’s staff at Ole Miss Volquest is reporting.
Louisville: Source tells FootballScoop that Jake Brandon is headed to Louisville as a defensive graduate assistant. Brandon spent the last two years at Georgia Southern working with outside linebackers and prior to that was a student assistant on Scott Satterfield’s staff at Appalachian State.
Clarion (D-II – PA): Vinnie Rizzo, who has coached the offensive line at ASA Brooklyn College (JC – NY) for the past 4 seasons, has accepted the offensive line job at Clarion, source tells FootballScoop.
Baylor: University of Houston assistant Justin Johnson plans to join Dave Aranda’s staff at Baylor source tells FootballScoop. Johnson coached running backs this past season at Houston; and was scheduled to coach tight ends / y-receivers this season. Johnson played running back, receiver and tight end at Houston.
Southwest Minnesota State (D-II): Southwest Minnesota State is looking for a running back graduate assistant coach. Qualifications include acceptance into graduate school (3.0 minimum GPA) and meet the MnSCU vehicle driving qualifications. Compensation package includes $8000/year ($4000/semester) and full-tuition waiver. Opportunity to run your own position meetings. Review of candidates will begin immediately and continue until filled. Minority coaches are encouraged to apply. Preference given to candidates who can begin this spring. Memphis: Per source, Southern University (FCS – LA) director of football operations Tommy Wilson is leaving for a position on the recruiting staff at Memphis.
