Michigan State: Colorado offensive coordinator Jay Johnson is joining Mel Tucker at Michigan State. Brian Howell first reported the news and several others subsequently confirmed or reported themselves.

Eastern Michigan: Brandon Blaney will coach the tight ends after two seasons as an analyst at Michigan working with the offensive line, LaMarcus Hicks will work with the corners after two seasons coaching the secondary at Bowling Green, and Mike Piatkowski returns to the program as quarterbacks coach after spending last season at Indiana as a graduate assistant. Fred Reed will move from corners to safeties and has added the pass game coordinator role and special teams coordinator Jay Nunez has added duties working with the defensive tackles.

Waldorf (NAIA – IA): Waldorf University seeks applicants for a Graduate Assistant in the Football program with Wide Receiver expertise. The Graduate Assistant appointment includes an online graduate tuition waiver over 12 consecutive terms and a monetary stipend of $1,000 per month for up to 18 months over the course of the educational program. An anticipated work/stipend schedule will be determined based on start date which typically follows the academic calendar periods between August and May. Optional on-campus housing (basic residence hall room) included and meal plan options available. Review of candidates will begin immediately and will be based on materials submitted through application process. Any employment offer is contingent on Waldorf or CSU Online Graduate School acceptance* and a background check.

Hamline (D-III – MN): Hamline University in St. Paul, MN is seeking an assistant coach on defense. The selected candidate will coach a position, be responsible for breakdown of opponent film, recruiting and other duties as assigned. Previous college coaching experience is preferred. Position will be based on the applicant that is hired. Stipend is $5,000 with no housing, meals or benefits. Local candidates are encouraged. Georgia State: Georgia State has an opening for an offensive line graduate assistant position. Applicants must be from the southeast, have OL playing and/or coaching experience, and be able to gain admission into graduate school at Georgia State. Reedley (JC – CA): Reedley College has two part time teaching/coaching positions available. One on offense (OL, WRs, or QBs) and one on defense (safeties). Candidates MUST have a master’s degree in one of the following subjects; English, Philosophy, Arts, Political Science, Psychology, Kinesiology / Physical Education / Exercise Science, Math, Business or Spanish. Total compensation with classes and coaching stipends will be about 25,000-30,000 annually depending on experience. Louisiana Monroe: Former Lamar (FCS – TX) offensive line graduate assistant Matthew Oubre has accepted the same position at ULM, per source.

Indianapolis Colts: The Colts have announced the additions of Matt Raich as special defensive assistant / assistant defensive line coach and Jerrod Johnson as offensive quality control. Raich most recently served as the defensive coordinator / linebackers coach for the St. Louis BattleHawks of the XFL and Johnson previously worked with the Colts as part of the Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship.

Texas Southern: Charles Nichols, who served as assistant to the head coach the past two seasons at Florida State for Willie Taggart, has accepted the director of football operations position, per source.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff (FCS): Assistant head coach / quarterbacks coach Doc Gamble has been named interim head coach. Prior to joining the UAPB staff, Gamble worked at Kent State, Alcorn State, ECU and Cincinnati.

Missouri: Greenwood HS (AR) head coach Rick Jones, who built one of the best programs in the state of Arkansas to eight state titles, is joining the Missouri staff as senior consultant to head coach Eli Drinkwitz, according to multiple reports.

Michigan State: Mel Tucker is bringing Chris Kapilovic with him to East Lansing, source tells FootballScoop.

Colorado: CU is admittedly in a tough spot, but the Buffs have options in their search for Mel Tucker’s replacement.

Dodge City Community College (KS): Dodge City is looking to fill a FULL TIME offensive line / run game coordinator job. Pay is 36K. Please send a resume with references to Head Football Coach, Ricky Coon: [email protected] if interested.

Southern Miss: Arkansas Pine-Bluff head coach Cedric Thomas will be Southern Miss’ new defensive backs coach sources tell FootballScoop. Luke Matheson first reported he was headed to Southern Miss. Prior to becoming head coach at UAPB, Thomas spent six seasons at Alcorn State, including two as defensive coordinator.

Dodge City Community College (KS): Dodge City is looking to fill a defensive assistant / dorm job. Position is outside linebackers. Pay is 12k plus room and board is included. Hardin-Simmons (D-III- TX): Source tells FootballScoop ASA Miami (JC) head coach Roosevelt Williams has accepted the defensive backs position at Hardin-Simmons.

Indiana: Tulane defensive line coach Kevin Peoples will join the staff in the same role, sources tell FootballScoop. Indiana had previously hired Ron Burton to coach its defensive line before he decided to remain in East Lansing.

Duke: Tulane defensive backs coach Chris Hampton will join the staff as cornerbacks coach, sources tell FootballScoop.

Virginia Union (D-II – VA): Virginia Union University is looking to fill an open date on September 19th for the upcoming 2020 season.  If interested, please contact Head Coach Dr. Alvin Parker at [email protected] or 804-257-5685.

Albany (FCS – NY): Special teams coordinator / co-defensive coordinator / outside linebackers coach Joe Bernard has been promoted to defensive coordinator and corners coach Curome Cox has been elevated to co-defensive coordinator, source tells FootballScoop. We understand that there are no open positions on the staff at this time.

Rhode Island (FCS): Source tells FootballScoop Southern Connecticut (D-II) defensive coordinator Chris Lorenti has accepted the inside linebackers job at URI.

Avila University (NAIA – MO): Searching for a restricted earnings LB Coach. Position will include coaching own position group, a recruiting territory and film break downs. Other duties as assigned by head coach or defensive coordinator. There is a small salary and will include housing. SMU: Tyler Olker has left the Kansas staff to join the SMU staff as director of recruiting operations.

Auburn: Co-defensive coordinator / linebackers coach Travis Williams has added the role of recruiting coordinator.

Nebraska: Auburn special teams analyst Jonathan Rutledge has joined the Huskers staff in the same capacity, per a report from 247.

South Alabama: Per source, West Alabama (D-II) offensive graduate assistant Harry Satterwhite has taken a defensive grad assistant position at South Alabama. Satterwhite is a former West Alabama quarterback and Harlon Hill trophy finalist.
