LSU: Former New Orleans Saints and Tulane staffer Carter Sheridan is joining LSU’s staff as an analyst tweets Garland Gillen. Sheridan has coached at St. Augustine high school in New Orleans the past few seasons.
Azusa Pacific: Offensive coordinator Rudy Carlton has been promoted to head coach. A former quarterback for the Cougars, Carlton has served as offensive coordinator the past ten seasons.
Georgia: The amount of money Georgia reports on recruiting expenditures is staggering.
UTSA: UTSA has formally announced Tyrone Nix as its new defensive coordinator.
Coastal Carolina: Jamey Chadwell has announced the addition of four new assistants. Josh Miller will coach outside linebackers, Tony Washington will coach receivers, Addison Williams will coach safeties and Malcolm Dixon will coach tight ends.
Gettysburg College (D-III – PA): Penn outside linebackers coach Maurice Banks has been named head coach at Gettysburg.
NC State: Jake Ellsworth, who recently served as defensive assistant at Illinois, has accepted a grad assistant position working with the linebackers at NC State source tells FootballScoop.
University of Indianapolis (D-II): Source tells FootballScoop Northern State (D-II) offensive coordinator Quinn Schaefer is expected to be the new quarterbacks coach at UIndy.
Western Carolina (FCS): Georgia State offensive grad assistant Jay Guillermo has joined the WCU staff as tight ends coach.
Texas A&M: Source tells FootballScoop Texas A&M defensive line coach Elijah Robinson plans to remain at A&M. Robinson was a candidate to join Penn State’s staff.
Wake Forest: Paul Williams is expected to join the Wake Forest staff coaching defensive backs tweets Alex Marvez. Williams spent this past season at Texas and has experience at Houston, Illinois, Miami, Temple and Western Michigan.
Wake Forest: Wake Forest has an opening for a football/recruiting intern. Person must have over a 3.0 gpa, have had experience playing or coaching wide receivers, and has not been graduated from college for more than six years – as this job can lead to a graduate assistant position. Cleveland Browns: Drew Petzing has been announced as tight ends coach. Petzing had been the wide receivers coach for the Vikings until being let go in late January.
Bob Davie: Before and throughout the season, Bob Davie raised a significant amount of concerns about New Mexico’s administration. Some of this is fascinating; not a good look though.
Colorado Mesa (D-II): Colorado Mesa University located in Grand Junction has immediate openings for two graduate assistants. One on offense and one on defense. Compensation includes a $9,000 stipend and NO benefits. Housing is NOT included in the package. This is a 10-Month position. Position includes, but is not limited to: assisting with a position on the field and in the meeting room, video editing, film sharing, manage and direct scout teams, weekly data input, weekly analytics, and other duties assigned by the head coach. Ideal candidates are super-organized and have extreme knowledge in Hudl/video editing, proficiency in Microsoft excel, word, power point and other computer skills. Cleveland Browns: Fred Pagac is expected to join the defensive staff as linebackers coach, Alex Marvez tweets. Pagac and Browns defensive coordinator Joe Woods previously worked together with the Vikings and Broncos.
RPI (D-III – NY): Offensive line coach / director of operations Bobby Johnson has stepped down to pursue other opportunities.
Pitt State (D-II – KS): Source tells FootballScoop that Western Illinois (FCS) defensive coordinator Tom Anthony is expected to become the new defensive coordinator at Pitt State.
MidAmerica Nazarene (NAIA – KS): Western New Mexico (D-II) offensive coordinator Paul Hansen has been named new head coach. Hansen’s previous stops include Parkview HS (MO) and SAGU (NAIA – TX).
Saint Vincent (D-III – PA): Saint Vincent seeks a part-time assistant VOLUNTEER football coach. Experience coaching the corners is preferred. This coach will be responsible for coaching their position, film-breakdown (HUDL), scouting reports, recruiting, and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach. This is a volunteer position. Applicants should submit a cover letter and resume to [email protected]. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Computer and Hudl proficiency also preferred. Prior coaching or playing experience at college or high school level is desired.
Indiana State (FCS): Source tells FootballScoop that former UTSA offensive coordinator Jeff Kastl is joining the program as pass game coordinator and quarterbacks coach and Minnesota special teams quality control coach Desmond Morgan will coach the team’s linebackers.
Penn State: Western Illinois (FCS) assistant head coach / co-offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Ty Howle has joined the staff as an offensive analyst and former Mississippi State defensive quality control analyst Will Reimann has joined the program as analytics coordinator, according to 247.

He has shattered both school and national passing records at his last 3 programs, and has proven himself to be a dynamic national recruiter. He helped lead Fort Valley State (D-II – GA) to their first winning season in 6 years in 2019, and previously at Oklahoma Panhandle State (NAIA) helped them flip from 2-8 to 7-3. Many coaches across the country have enjoyed his sessions at clinics and at the AFCA Convention. Maryland: Senior analyst Ron Zook is no longer a part of the Terps staff. Zook previously served as the head coach at Florida (2002-04) and Illinois (2005-11) before becoming a special teams coordinator for the Packers and then the Salt Lake Stallions of the AAF.
LSU: Tyler Tettleton, the former Ohio quarterback that spent last season in an offensive quality control role with the Browns, is joining the LSU staff as an offensive analyst, Bruce Feldman tweets.
Kansas: Senior analyst Joshua Eargle has been promoted to tight ends coach. Prior to joining the Kansas staff, Eargle was at Austin Peay (FCS – TN) in a variety of roles including interim head coach, offensive coordinator, run game coordinator, and offensive line coach.

Lamar (FCS – TX): Former Vanderbilt outside linebackers coach Matt Weikert has been named defensive coordinator at Lamar.
San Diego State: Savai’i Eselu has stepped down from the head coaching job at Moanalua (HI) to become the next tight ends coach at San Diego State, Ren Clayton of KHON2 shares.
Fort Valley State (D-II – GA): Per source, offensive line coach Gary Lowery is not being retained.
Nebraska-Kearney (D-II): Head coach Josh Lynn has signed an extension taking him through the 2022 season.

Elizabeth City State (D-II – NC): Elizabeth City State is looking for a game this season (2020) Week 3 Sept, 19, preferably a home game. Willing to discuss away opportunities, preferably a NCAA D-II or NAIA. Please contact Head Coach Anthony Jones at [email protected] if interested.
Howard (FCS – Washington, DC): Word broke over the weekend that Florida tight ends coach Larry Scott is expected to become the new head coach at Howard.
Anna Maria (D-III – MA): Anna Maria College is looking for Games September 18th and 25th of 2021 as well as games on September 17th and 24th of 2022. Looking for a home and home contract with a D3 program. If interested please contact Coach Brett Banfield at [email protected].
Alderson Broaddus (D-II – WV): Alderson Broaddus is looking to fill the following open dates: 2020 – Week 8, 10/24 (looking for a FCS guarantee game or a DII/NAIA opponent for a home contest); 2021 – Week 2, 9/11 (would like to do a home/home with 2022 matching week) and Week 3 – 9/18 (looking for a FCS guarantee game or a DII/NAIA opponent for a home contest); and 2022 – Week 2, 9/10 (would like to do a home/home with 2021 matching week) and Week 11, 11/12.
