Recruiting Scam: Yet another scumbag is trying to scam recruits into thinking he recruits for Tennessee.
Dartmouth (FCS – NH): Former assistant Cyril Brockmeier has been named head coach at Plant HS (Tampa, FL).
Tennessee Titans: Matthew Pees, who served as a defensive assistant under his father Dean with the Titans last season, has been hired as the new head coach at Findlay HS (OH).
UAB: UAB Football appreciates the overwhelming response for the graphic design/multimedia position. At this time we are no longer accepting resumes for the position.
Syracuse: In announcing his 2020 staff, Dino Babers has confirmed Chip West as Cuse’s new cornerbacks coach.
UAB: Source tells FootballScoop UAB has hired Wes Smith as a defensive grad assistant. Smith worked at Appalachian State in 2019 as a defensive grad assistant.
Oklahoma Panhandle State (NAIA): OPSU is currently seeking a game for September 5th or September 12th 2020. If interested please contact Dylan Swarers, at [email protected].
Missouri Valley (NAIA): Missouri Valley College has an opening for a graduate assistant (offensive or defensive) / equipment coordinator. Responsibilities include organization, inventory, distribution, collection, and maintenance of all equipment for the team. Coaching duties will include assisting with a position group, practice preparation, assisting with on-campus recruiting and any assignments delegated by the head coach. We are looking for a dedicated and detail oriented person who wants to complete a graduate degree in Educational Administration, Community Counseling or possibly Exercise Science. Proficiency in GoogleApps, Microsoft Excel, Word, Hudl, PowerPoint and other computer skills is a plus. Compensation is FULL TUITION and a MEAL PLAN (no housing included). North Dakota (FCS): UND is looking to hire a new running backs coach. It is being reported here that running backs coach Malcolm Agnew has accepted a position at Sacramento State.
Kennesaw State (FCS – GA): Source tells FootballScoop North Greenville defensive coordinator Greg Harris has accepted the linebackers position at Kennesaw State.
Delaware (FCS): Bryan Stinespring, who spent two decades working with Frank Beamer at Virginia Tech before holding recent positions at Maryland and Old Dominion, has been announced as assistant head coach / offensive line coach. The addition of Stinespring means Bill Polin will now shift back to coaching the tight ends, while Greg Meyer moves to handling the team’s running game.
Midwestern State (D-II – TX): Midwestern State University is currently seeking two offensive graduate assistant football coaches. The position includes a stipend, housing, and tuition assistance for graduate school. Coaching responsibilities to include; but not limited to, Running Backs and Wide Receivers. Experience playing and coaching either position is preferred. Responsibilities include all aspects of the football program including; but not limited to, video editing, social media, practice organization, contest preparation, recruitment weekends, student athlete development, and other duties assigned by the Head Football Coach. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Trinity International (NAIA – IL): Trinity International University has an immediate opening for a defensive restricted earnings positions working with defensive line. Applicants must have a strong Christian faith and work within Trinity International University’s Christian mission. The position will have their own recruiting area and will be responsible for coaching and managing their own position, including position meetings. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to film breakdown and data entry, assisting with special teams, recruiting, running positional meetings, assisting with game preparation, and other duties assigned by the head coach. Adrian (D-III – MI): Adrian College has an opening for an entry level coach working with a skill position on either side of the ball. The position is an 11 month contract and will be filled as soon as possible. Position includes a $10,000 stipend, partial benefits, housing, and a meal plan. Tennessee Titans: Defensive quality control Matt Pees has accepted the head coaching position at Findlay HS (OH). Pees is the son of former Titans’ defensive coordinator Dean Pees.
UTEP: UTSA director of player personnel Barrick Nealy is joining the staff as running backs coach, sources tell FootballScoop. Nealy returns to El Paso after spending 2018-19 in player development and recruiting at UTEP; he had joined Jeff Traylor’s new staff last month.
Benedict (D-II – SC): Sources tell FootballScoop Southern (FCS – LA) offensive coordinator Chennis Berry will be the new head coach at Benedict. More here.
Charlotte: Lee Grimes has been hired to coach the offensive line. Grimes previously served as a senior offensive analyst on the Texas A&M staff.
Westminster (D-III – PA): Loran Cooley, the head coach at Baldwin-Whitehall HS (PA), has accepted the wide receivers job at Westminster.
South Carolina: Sources tell FootballScoop Will Muschamp has had significant dialogue with LSU assistant head coach / running backs / recruiting coordinator Tommie Robinson about joining his staff. We are told a decision could be made within the next 36 hours. Robinson has spent the past 3 seasons at LSU. He has coached running backs at USC, Texas, Miami, Memphis, Oklahoma State, he has also coached for the Arizona Cardinals, the Dallas Cowboys and plenty of others.
Minnesota: PJ Fleck has announced a number of promotions and a total of four new additions to the program. The following promotions have been announced; defensive backs / safeties coach Joe Harasymiak has been promoted to co-defensive coordinator, special teams coordinator Rob Wenger has added duties coaching the rush ends, Danny Collins (who has served in a variety of roles with the program) has been promoted to senior defensive analyst, assistant director of football operations Austin Starnes has been promoted to director of internal football operations, lead graphic designer Will Henry has been promoted to assistant director recruiting / player development, assistant to recruiting Emily Litwin has a new title of chief administrative officer / parent liaison and player development graduate assistant Bradley Parker Jr. will now work as director of football administration. Fleck also announced new staff members in former VMI offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Brian Sheppard (offensive quality control) and former Charlotte graduate assistant Nick Murphy (director of on-campus recruiting), and the return of Shorter University (D-II – GA) recruiting coordinator / defensive assistant) Tyler Majewski (special teams quality control) and TCU’s Derek Schmidt (football digital content coordinator).
Central Michigan: Source tells FootballScoop that Tim Skipper (LBs) and Keith Murphy (special teams) have now joined the staff. Skipper previously served as the defensive coordinator at UNLV and Murphy has previous stops working with the tight ends and special teams at Southern Illinois (FCS – IL) and as a quality control coach at Florida. Local reporter Evan Petzold has reported the addition of Skipper as well.
UNLV: Michigan State assistant Terrance Samuel, who worked with the wide receivers from 2011-18 before moving to the defensive side of the ball this past year, is expected to join the UNLV staff as passing game coordinator / wide receivers coach, Adam Rittenberg tweets.
Springfield College (D-III – MA): Louis DiRienzo, who previously served as a special teams quality control coach at Rutgers, has been hired as defensive coordinator.
Lousiana Monroe: Per source, Tulane defensive analyst Johnny Jernigan is expected to be named defensive line coach at ULM.
Texas: Former Howard (FCS – Washington, DC) defensive coordinator Elijah Sanders is joining the Longhorns as a graduate assistant, Adam Rittenberg tweets.
UCF: Jacob Bronowski has been hired in a special teams quality control role, per source. Bronowski just finished his second season as special teams coordinator / tight ends coach at Robert Morris (FCS – PA) and prior to that was on staff at New Mexico for five seasons under Bob Davie.
UAB: UAB Football is looking to hire a graphic design/multimedia position to assist with recruiting and video operations. Responsibilities include: recruiting graphics for UAB Football social media and highlight videos. The position is open to all candidates. Toronto Argonauts: Lake Erie College (D-II – OH) defensive backs coach / special teams coordinator Ike Charlton has accepted a position with the Argos coaching the defensive backs.
Lake Erie (D-II – OH): Lake Erie has a full-time position available on staff and is looking to hire a defensive backs coach. Candidates with strong special teams experience will be highly considered.This a full-time position with benefits. The salary range will be commensurate with experience and degree.
