Powell joined Sonny Dykes’ staff in 2018 as offensive line coach, but was later sidelined with Guillain-Barre syndrome, which sidelined him. Dykes kept Powell on board in an analyst role so he could focus on his recovery.

The Spring League: The Spring League is looking for interns in its football operations department. Illinois College (D-III): Craig Neece, who served as a defensive graduate assistant at Toledo, has accepted the defensive coordinator job for the Blueboys.

Tennessee Titans: The Titans have announced the addition of Jim Schwartz as a senior defensive assistant. Schwartz most recently served as the defensive coordinator for the Eagles and Vikings and served as the head coach of the Lions from 2009-13. He previously coached with the Titans from 2000-08, starting off as linebackers coach before being promoted to defensive coordinator.
