New York Giants: Sources tell FootballScoop Mike Treier has accepted a position on Joe Judge’s staff. Treier, who coached safeties at Marshall this past season, had accepted a role on Mike Norvell’s staff at Florida State….before being lured to join Steve Addazio’s staff at Colorado State. However, we are told he will coach in New York going forward.
Appalachian State: Brian Haines has joined the staff as an offensive assistant. He arrives from Ohio, where he coached tight ends and special teams.
Colorado Mesa (D-II): Head coach Tremaine Jackson has hired Nick Fulton (offensive coordinator), Brandon Anderson (defensive coordinator) and Trent Earley (defensive line), while Riley Newcomer (wide receivers/special teams) and Brian Blechen (linebackers) have been retained from the previous staff.
St. Mary (NAIA – KS): Carter Drafts has joined the staff as offensive line coach.
Carolina Panthers: Ed Foley has joined the staff as assistant special teams coordinator. Foley worked under Matt Rhule at Temple and Baylor.
Tennessee Titans: Inside linebackers coach Tyrone McKenzie is no longer with the team.
Jacksonville Jaguars: Director of player personnel Chris Polian is no longer with the club, according to Neil Stratton of Inside the League.
Toledo: Toledo has formally announced the hirings of Vince Kehres (defensive coordinator/linebackers), Craig Kuligowski (co-defensive coordinator/outside linebackers) and Robert Weiner (passing game coordinator/quarterbacks).
Hawai’i: Sam Bennett, who spent last season with the Arizona Cardinals as a coaching assistant, has been named an offensive assistant on Todd Graham’s staff. Prior to his work with the Cardinals, Bennett spent three seasons at Arizona State – two as an offensive graduate assistant and one as an offensive analyst.
Fort Scott CC (JC – KS): R. Amir Gant will be the new receivers coach, source tells FootballScoop. Gant is currently on staff at Lausanne Collegiate HS (TN) and has previous experience coaching tight ends at Jackson State (FCS – MS).
Memphis: Source tells FootballScoop that South Alabama defensive / special teams graduate assistant Tyler Zielenske is joining the Memphis staff as special teams quality control.
Fitchburg State (D-III – MA): WPI (D-III – MA) defensive coordinator Scott Sperone has been announced as the new head coach. Sperone spent the past two seasons as WPI’s defensive coordinator.
Mississippi State: Washington State offensive quality control coach Drew Hollingshead is joining Mike Leach’s staff in the same capacity, per source.
Thaddeus Stevens (JC – PA): Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology is looking to hire an Offensive Coordinator. This position is part-time. Additional responsibilities, with compensation, will include recruiting and academic support. All interested candidates can email cover letter and resume to [email protected].
NFL: Roger Goodell said Wednesday he has not thought about retirement. The 60-year-old has been the league’s commissioner since 2006.
Independence CC (JC – KS): Independence Community College, located in Independence, KS is seeking an assistant linebackers coach / equipment manager. Independence was the 2019 Jayhawk Conference Champions and are coming off an 8-2 season. The position is an UNPAID position but is does come with HOUSING and MEALS. This is an entry level position great for a first time coach who is looking to get his foot in the door in the college coaching profession. The coach will have the opportunity to meet a lot of four yer coaches that come through to recruit our players. The coach will be responsible for the daily equipment room duties but will be giving the opportunity to coach on the field and recruit an area. Pay for Play: The wolves are in the hen house, and now Congress is openly talking about limiting college coaching salaries.
Assumption College (D-II – MA): Woody Blevins has joined the staff as defensive coordinator, sources tell FootballScoop. Blevins was a defensive analyst at Hawai’i in 2019.
North Texas: Tulsa offensive line coach Mike Bloesch has been announced as co-offensive coordinator/offensive line coach, as FootballScoop first reported two weeks ago. Bloesch spent the past five seasons as a part of the Tulsa staff, rising from offensive quality control coach of offensive line coach.
Abilene Christian (FCS – TX): Travis Britz has been hried as assistant defensive line coach. Britz previously served as a defensive graduate assistant at Kansas State, where he played defensive line.
Kentucky Wesleyan (D-II): Kentucky Wesleyan College Football is looking for a 2020 Week 10 (11/7/2020) home game, willing to discuss away opportunities. Preferably a FCS,NCAA DII or NAIA opponent. Please contact Tyrone Young at [email protected] if interested.
Garden City CC (JC – KS): Garden City Community College Football Program is seeking 2-3 HIGHLY MOTIVATED INDIVIDUALS who want an opportunity to be a part of a Successful football program, be hands on with behind the scenes video, equipment and potential scouting of prospects for the upcoming year (Experience required). We have scholarship money available for those who need to finish their associates degree, in which you will be able to obtain work study hours for compensation. This opportunity for the successful candidate has seen assistants obtain jobs at the P5 level as Off the field assistants and student assistant positions. Compensation: We have scholarship money available for those who need to finish their associates degree, in which you will be able to obtain work study hours for compensation. Job duties include but are not limited to: assist all coaches in finding and funneling prospects to the recruiting coordinator and head coach for evaluation. Work closely in the film department, where you will cut, edit video, publish video during half time and intercut all practices and games, do basic breakdowns of each game, and any other needs in the video department. Nevada: Brian Ward has now been formally announced as defensive coordinator / linebackers coach. Ward spent the last few seasons as the defensive coordinator at Syracuse.
Montana State-Northern (NAIA – MT): Montana State University-Northern is seeking applicants for the position of assistant football coach for defense (Defensive Backs) for the 2020 season. Preferred candidates will have prior experience playing/coaching on the defensive side of the ball, preferably in the defensive backfield. Candidates will be responsible for coaching their own position group, a recruiting area, film editing/breakdown (HUDL), and all other duties assigned by the head football coach/defensive coordinator. A bachelor’s degree and valid driver’s license is required. This is a restricted earnings position, and pay will be discussed during the interview process. Denver Broncos: The Broncos are hiring Rich Hurtado in a newly created role of Vice President of football administration working on cap space and contract negotiations, Mike Klis tweets.
Cleveland Browns: Vice President of player personnel Alonzo Highsmith and the Browns have mutually agreed to part and the team has also parted with with assistant GM Elliot Wolf as well, according to multiple reports.
Chadron State (D-II – NE): Mayville State (NAIA – ND) interim head coach / offensive coordinator Micah Smith has withdrawn his name from the Mayville State head coaching search to become the offensive coordinator at Chadron State.
Western Michigan: Drew Robinson has left his post as the assistant athletic director for football operations to become the director of sales – East Coast for GoRout.
Greensboro (D-III – NC): Tyler Card, who served as the offensive coordinator at Sul Ross State (D-III – TX) the past three seasons, has been named the new head coach of the program.
Georgia Tech: Geoff Collins has a stuffed opossum sitting on the middle of the table in their staff meeting room. At Georgia Tech, everything has a story, so here’s the purpose behind the opossum.
Arkansas: Former Army special teams coordinator Mike Krysl has accepted a special teams position with the Razorbacks, source tells FootballScoop. Krysl previously was the special teams coordinator at Georgia Southern and also coached briefly at Tulane.
Louisiana Tech: Per source, Louisiana Monroe defensive line coach Anthony Camp has been hired as the new defensive line coach at LA Tech. Bleed Tech Blue has also reported the same.
Mayville State (NAIA – ND): The finalists for the head coaching position are; interim head coach Micah Smith, Wisconsin-River Falls (D-III) defensive coordinator Rocky Larson, Upper Iowa (D-II) running backs coach Mike Caniglia, and Sierra Linda HS (AZ) head coach Nate Gill who is a former defensive coordinator at Mayville State.
UNLV: Former Oregon offensive lineman Charlie Landgraf is joining the UNLV staff in a graduate assistant role, Bruce Feldman tweets.
