NCAA: The Division I Council has formally approved the preseason schedule, beginning as soon as July 6. Details here.

SEC Network: Jordan Rodgers will replace Paul Finebaum and Marcus Spears on SEC Nation, the network’s version of College GameDay, according to the New York Post. Finebaum will remain with the network, while Spears is expected to appear more on ESPN’s NFL studio shows. Laura Rutledge will continue to host the show.

Indianapolis Colts: The Colts are hiring a diversity, equity and inclusion coordinator, according to the Indianapolis Star. The position will “develop, lead and oversee diversity, equity and inclusion plans and initiatives that ensure awareness, respect and acceptance in the workplace.”

Valley City State (NAIA – ND): Valley City State University is re-opening for their offensive graduate assistant position. Responsibilities include assisting in practice preparation, game day duties, film, recruiting along with any duties assigned by the OC and/or head coach. The position will include a $5,500 stipend, tuition waiver, meal stipend, and housing. Candidate should have coaching or playing experience – offensive skill position preferred. Minority candidates are encouraged to apply. Qualified candidate must meet entrance requirements for master’s program at VCSU. Potential positions include GA, intern, and part-time coaches. Compensation package includes a small stipend and tuition waiver (full tuition waiver if a GA; partial tuition waiver if an intern or part-time coach). Responsibilities include coaching your own position group, recruiting your own area (all expenses covered), and any additional responsibilities as assigned by the head coach or coordinators. Black Hills State (D-II – SD): Black Hills State University is seeking applicants for a defensive graduate assistant cornerbacks coach. A minimum GPA of 2.5 and a bachelors degree is required. Cincinnati Bengals: McKendree (D-II – IL) defensive line coach Kenny-Ray Augustus, Cincinnati wide receivers coach Mike Brown and Princeton HS (OH) coach Mike Daniels will join the Bengals as Bill Walsh Minority Fellows for the final portion of the club’s summer workouts.

New York Giants: Courtney Kennedy is joining the organization as a full-time data analyst, according to multiple reports. Kennedy served in an intern role with the Giants last season.

Austin Peay (FCS – TN): Kody Schexnayder has been announced as the new director of football ops / recruiting for the Governors. Schexnayder arrives from Mississippi State, where he worked last season.

Southern Heritage Classic: The 31st annual Southern Heritage Classic pitting Jackson State against Tennessee State, scheduled for Sept. 12 at Memphis’s Liberty Bowl, has been canceled.

Warner (NAIA – FL): Warner University is no longer accepting applications for their open offensive line job. Thanks to all that reached out, as the response was overwhelming. A special thanks to those that wrote a faith statement.
