Texas: Sterlin Gilbert has now accepted the offensive coordinator position at Texas, sources confirmed to FootballScoop. Orangebloods is reporting that Matt Mattox will come as well as the new offensive line coach. We can confirm that as well. A look at how it went down.
Texas: Well, this is bizarre. UT president Greg Fenves is flying to Tulsa to meet with Sterlin Gilbert, according to Orangebloods, the Dallas Morning News and Austin American-Statesman. Orangebloods reports Texas has gotten Gilbert to agree to a three-year contract, but needs offensive line coach Matt Mattox to jump on board as well. The Statesman reports Charlie Strong and AD Mike Perrin are coming along as well. Stay tuned to this one.
Texas: In the wake of the news today and earlier this week with TCU's Sonny Cumbie, UT president Greg Fenves tweeted Friday afternoon, "I fully support Charlie Strong. I am committed to helping him move Longhorn Football forward."
Örebro Black Knights (Europe): Örebro Black Knights of Sweden's Super Series are looking to hire a Defensive Coordinator for the 2016 season. We are looking for a Defensive Coordinator with 4-2-5 or 3-3-5 experience. College coaching experience and experience coaching LBs are a must. The contract begins in February and runs through July. The contract pays 6000 SEK per month (currently about $700), flights to and from Sweden for the season, one meal per day, and an apartment and utilities paid. Jackson State (FCS): Mississippi State safeties / recruiting coordinator Tony Hughes is a strong candidate to become head coach at JSU, per source. If terms can be reached, source tells FootballScoop Hughes could be announced as early as Monday.
Virginia Tech: Justin Fuente has retained Zohn Burden. He will coach running backs going forward.
Missouri: Mizzou has approved a 5-year deal for new head coach Barry Odom worth a base salary of $2.35 million annually, per Barrett Sallee. Dave Matter points out that Odom's additional compensation can top out at $1.5 million per year.
Alabama: Alabama has now announced the hiring of Jeremy Pruitt as defensive coordinator. Pruitt will join the Tide staff immediately and will not coach Georgia in the TaxSlayer Bowl.
Ohio State: Per Adam Schefter, Greg Schiano is expected to join Urban Meyer's staff as associate head coach / defensive coordinator.

Monterey Peninsula College (JC - CA): Monterey Peninsula College has a defensive coaching position open. Position area is flexible. Starts February 1, 2016. Duties include position coaching, strength and conditioning, video production, and recruiting. Minimum requirements include a bachelors degree, and at least two years of college or professional coaching experience. The annual stipend is $10,000. Florida State: Per source, despite Auburn's attempts, defensive coordinator Charles Kelly will stay at Florida State.
Bowling Green: Per source, Mike Jinks is bringing a number of Texas Tech guys with him to Bowling Green. In addition to Kilmer, assistant offensive line coach Stephen Hamby will be the offensive line coach and former Red Raiders quarterback Seth Doege will be a graduate assistant.

Tulane: Tulane is nearing an agreement with Georgia Southern head coach Willie Fritz. More details here.
Bowling Green: Faulkner (NAIA - AL) defensive line coach Marcus White is joining the staff as co-defensive coordinator / defensive line coach at BG, and Texas Tech offensive quality control coach Kevin Kilmer will be the new co-offensive coordiantor, all per SI.
East Carolina: Shane Beamer has been informed by the search firm that he's no longer in the running for the ECU job, per Sammy Batten of the Fayetteville Observer.
Pearl River (JC - MS): As we reported yesterday, PRCC has now formally announced the addition of David Saunders as the new head coach. Saunders served as an assistant coach handling the secondary and special teams this past season.
Toledo: Per source, Oklahoma State special teams coordinator Robby Discher will join the staff at Toledo as special teams coordinator and will coach tight ends. Derek Sage will continue coaching the receivers. Discher won the 2014 FootballScoop Special Teams Coordinator of the Year despite not technically being one of the nine "full-time" coaches. The former special teams coordinator at Sam Houston, will join Toledo's staff immediately we are told.
Washington State: Sources tell us Mike Leach is planning to hire former East Carolina offensive coordinator Dave Nichol to fill his receivers position, which opened with Graham Harrell heading to North Texas.
Syracuse: Former UVA assistant Chris Beatty will join Dino Babers' staff per SI.
East Carolina: Brett McMurphy reports that Brady Hoke will visit Greenville tomorrow for a second interview. We hear that James Madison head coach Everett Withers has been invited to do the same. We have heard of a third candidate as well...will update.

Eastern Kentucky (FCS): Per source, the only coaches being retained at EKU are Kevin Cristello (DFO), Keith Kidd (football relations), and Walt Wells (offensive line). We understand that all other coaches have been released. Wells, per source, continues to pursue the Austin Peay head job.
Tennessee Tech (FCS): The head coaching job has been posted. All candidates must apply online via this link. Search closes Monday December 14.
Northwestern (NAIA - IA): Matt McCarty, who has served as defensive coordinator the past 11 seasons, has been promoted to head coach. He takes over for Kyle Achterhoff, who resigned after seven seasons leading the program on Wednesday.
Fort Lewis (D-II - CO): Per source, assistant head coach / defensive line coach Joe Morris has been promoted to defensive coordinator.
