San Jose State: Defensive coordinator Greg Robinson plans to retire following their bowl game.
Washington: Utah State defensive line coach Ikaika Malloe will take over at Washington in the same capacity per Lars Hanson who covers the Huskies.
Kentucky: Bruce Feldman reports that Cincinnati offensive coordinator Eddie Gran is Mark Stoops target for offensive coordinator.
Concordia (St. Paul MN - D-II): Former head coach Shannon Currier is returning as head coach of the Golden Bear program. Currier has been working at ihigh.com for the past seven years.
Missouri: Per source, former USC defensive line coach Chris Wilson is joining the staff in the same capacity. Wilson has previously coached defensive line at Georgia, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Colorado, etc...
Kentucky: Wide receivers coach Tommy Mainord will not return next season.
Northwestern (NAIA - IA): Northwestern College seeks applications for the position of football offensive coordinator. This full-time, 10-month position will include assisting the head coach in the planning and implementation of the football program in a manner consistent with the goals and mission of the college. In addition to coaching and recruiting for the football program, this position will include additional duties in either teaching or administrative/supervision duties in athletics. Preference will be given to applicants who have a master’s degree and a minimum of 3 years experience as a successful high school or college coach. Slippery Rock (D-II - PA): Defensive coordinator Shawn Lutz has been named head coach.
Auburn: Penn State defensive coordinator Bob Shoop, South Florida defensive coordinator Tom Allen, and Louisville defensive coordinator Todd Grantham are among the candidates that Auburn is interested in for the defensive coordinator position, per 247.
Williams College (D-III - MA): Head coach Aaron Kelton has stepped down after leading the program for six seasons.
South Carolina: Will Muschamp noted today on Sirius XM College Sports Nation that, while it's not official, his former offensive coordinator at Florida Kurt Roper will join his staff at South Carolina as offensive coordinator. The news of Roper's addition to the staff has been widely reported for weeks. Roper spent last season as the senior offensive assistant for the Cleveland Browns.
Malone (D-II - OH): Malone University is accepting applications for offensive coordinator. This position is a salaried position beginning January 2016 and is eligible for benefits. Candidate must have experience with option offense. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to: recruitment of student-athletes on and off-campus, on field coaching, coaching position (designated by head coach) practice planning, monitoring student-athlete academic progress, video editing with and other administrative duties as assigned by the Head Coach. Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s Degree preferred. Previous coaching experience (as an offense coordinator) is required. USC: Wide receivers coachTee Martin has been promoted to offensive coordinator. Clay Helton notes that Martin will call plays on game day and he will focus on being the CEO of the entire program.
South Carolina: The additions / titles of Coleman Hutzler (STC / LBs), Clyde Wrenn (director of high school relations) and Robbie Liles (director of player personnel) are now official. Liles served as the director of recruiting operations for the Gamecocks last season, and Wrenn served in a special assistant to development role.

Louisiana-Monroe: Per source, Matt Viator is bringing a number of assistants with him from McNeese State (FCS - LA). They are co-offensive coordinator / WRs coach Tim Leger, STC / RBs coach Slade Nagle, DL coach Manny Michel, and DBs coach Chris Hampton.
Southern Illinois (FCS): Among the candidates who have interviewed for the Southern Illinois head coaching job are interim head coach Nick Hill, former Texas offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Shawn Watson (who served as head coach at Southern Illinois from 1994-1996), and former Minnesota assistant head coach / offensive line coach Matt Limegrover. We understand that there is at least one other candidate in the mix as well. Sources tell us to expect a decision soon.
Scoop him up:Kevin Roberts is currently graduate assistant coach at Mississippi State. Roberts developed three SEC defensive backs while coaching at the high school level in Mississippi before joining the college ranks at Southern Miss. While there, we're told he "played a pivotal role" in their recruiting class. At Mississippi State, Roberts works closely with corners coach Deshea Townsend. Coaches tell us that Roberts is a "future big time coach" with a huge upside.
Virginia Tech: Special teams coordinator James Shibest will make $420,000 with his contract running through June 30th, 2018, while wide receivers coach Holman Wiggins and offensive line coach Vance Vice will each make $260,000 annually with contracts that go through June 30, 2017, per Andy Bitter. Defensive coordinator Bud Foster will make $925,000 next season. Justin Fuente will make $3.2 million in his first year, and he has a salary pool of $3.4 million for his assistant coaches.
TCU: Gary Patterson is a big believer of hiring quality young coaches (grad assistants and quality control roles) and developing them for future opportunities. With that knowledge, we would expect Patterson to promote from within the staff to fill Cross' role. Wouldn't surprise us to see a guy like director of high school relations Zarnell Fitch bumped up into that role.

Missouri: Sources tell FootballScoop that TCU co-defensive coordinator / linebackers coach DeMontie Cross will be the new defensive coordinator at Mizzou. PowerMizzou is reporting the same. It is our understanding that Barry Odom plans to have Cross to call the defense.
Illinois: The Illini have now formally announced the additions of AJ Ricker (OL) and Jeff Hecklinski (TEs / STC). The appointments of Mike Phair to defensive coordinator and Ryan Cubit to offensive coordinator have also been made official. Also, as expected, Nathan Scheehaase has been named a permanent member of the full-time staff and will coach the running backs.
Edinboro (D-II - PA): We've seen a report that the following coaches are candidates for the head coaching vacancy at Edinboro, and that interviews will take place next week; Wayne Bradford (Edinboro staff member for 17 years, currently defensive coordinator / linebackers coach), Ron Rankin (Fairmont State LBs coach), Dennis Creehan (Alderson Broaddus head coach / athletic director), Marc Kolb (Tusculum College offensive coordinator / QBs / WRs coach), Justin Lustig (Ball State assistant head coach / special teams coordinator / RBs coach), Alvin Parker (Elizabeth City State offensive coordinator), and Blair Hrovat (former assistant at South Dakota and Indiana State).
Illinois: Per source, co-defensive coordinator Tim Banks (who called the defense this past season) will have a diminished role moving forward. We have been told that co-defensive coordinator / defensive line coach Mike Phair is one option Bill Cubit is seriously considering making defensive coordinator, and SI is now reporting that Phair will be the new DC for the Illini. Clearly, a lot of changes happening in Champaign. SI adds that quarterbacks coach Ryan Cubit will have the offensive coordinator title, but Bill Cubit will still call plays moving forward.
Harding (D-II - AR): Harding University is seeking applicants for a defensive graduate assistant position working with LBs. Most importantly, we are interested in someone who has a desire to serve God and who sees coaching as an avenue to impact lives for Christ. This position carries with it $3,500 of tuition credit per semester. No housing, meals, or stipend is included. A Bachelor’s degree is required.
