UCONN: Western Kentucky defensive backs coach Clayton White has accepted a position at UCONN.

Houston Texans: John Butler has been hired as a defensive assistant and Jim Ryan has been hired as an offensive assistant. Butler served on the Minnesota Gophers staff last season and Ryan coached for Omaha of the UFL this past season.

New England Patriots: Bill O'Brien has been promoted to offensive coordinator and will continue to coach the quarterbacks as well. Matt Patricia will now coach the safeties, Patrick Graham will now coach the linebackers and Brian Flores is now a defensive assistant.

Wisconsin: Bret Bielema's extension has been approved through January 2016. For this season, his pay will be $2.5 million. Offensive coordinator Paul Chryst received the same extension and his pay for this season will now be $405,000. 

Purdue: We hear that recruiting coordinator Don Coller is leaving the program.

Rice: Billy Lynch has been hired as wide receivers coach. Lynch was the wide receivers coach at Indiana last season.

Sewanee: Head coach Robert Black has stepped down. Black will remain with the University in a fundraising / development capacity. The AD has announced that a search will begin immediately.

Tulane: There is a report that Bob Toledo has hired John Hendrick as his special teams coordinator. We have not confirmed this. Hendrick previously served as the defensive line coach & special teams coordinator at USF under Jim Leavitt.

Tennessee Titans: The NY Jets have denied the Titans' request to interview assistant coach Bill Callahan for the offensive coordinator position.

Southwestern College (KS): We hear Sahuaro HS (AZ) defensive coordinator Andrew Krause accepted the defensive backs job.

Brevard College: We are hearing that wide receivers / assistant head coach Jerry Mynatt has resigned to accept a high school coaching job in Tennessee.

Nebraska: There is a report that the Rivers School (MA) head coach Rich Fisher will be joining Bo Pelini's staff on the offensive side of the ball. We have not confirmed the hire. The reports also says offensive intern John Garrison will be promoted to a full-time position and that Tim Beck will take over the play-calling. Garrison is a former Huskers' offensive lineman.

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology: We hear Cincinnati offensive grad assistant Brian White has accepted the offensive line job at Rose-Hulman.
