Middle Tennesee: Source tells FootballScoop Will Redmond has accepted the director of player personnel role at Middle Tennessee. Redmond served on the recruiting staff at Tennessee the past few seasons and had been hired at Western Michigan as director of player personnel last month. Western Michigan has already filled the position by hiring Gerrit Chernoff (formerly of Iowa State).

East Los Angeles College (CC): Head coach Eric Marty has resigned to pursue other football opportunities source tells FootballScoop.

Miami: Former Virginia Tech offensive line grad assistant Greg Nosal has accepted the same role at Miami source tells FootballScoop.

Mississippi State: Former NFL kicker Chris Boniol has accepted the special teams quality control position at Mississippi State source tells FootballScoop. Boniol spent last season as special teams coordinator at Louisiana College and has previously served as assistant special teams coach for both the Raiders and the Cowboys.

USC: Rick Neuheisel says the word in the search firm community is that Arizona AD Greg Byrne is a strong candidate for the USC AD position. Good audio here.

Sacramento State (FCS - CA): Source tells FootballScoop Sac State is hiring former Toronto Argos defensive line coach Will Plemons in the same capacity.

Capital University (D-III - OH): Source tells FootballScoop Hamline (D-III - MN) head coach Chad Rogosheske will be the new head coach at Capital.

Kansas: Former West Virginia special teams coordinator Joe DeForest will join the Kansas staff per JayhawkSlant.

Citadel: Orlando Mitjans Jr. has been hired to coach the corners, completing Brent Thompson's staff. Mitjans Jr. spent the last two seasons at Army, and has previous coaching stops at Georgia Southern, Eastern Kentucky, and Tennessee State.

San Francisco 49ers: Chip Kelly is planning to add former Cleveland Browns quarterbacks coach Kevin O'Connell to his staff source tells FootballScoop.

Iowa: Kelvin Bell has been named recruiting coordinator and defensive assistant. Bell has been an on-campus coordinator and replaces Seth Wallace who now coaches the linebackers.

Arizona State: Taylor Kelly, who worked as a graduate assistant last season, has left the program to work as a quarterbacks coach, per Doug Haller.

East Texas Baptist (D-III): Per source, safeties coach Brandon Smith has been promoted to defensive coordinator/inside linebackers coach and wide receivers coach Scott Highsmith has added a passing game coordinator title.

Emory and Henry (D-III - VA): Timmy Chang has officially joined the staff as offensive coordinator. Also, Billy Ray will move from coaching the defensive backs to coaching the wide receivers.

Louisville: Kevin Elliott, who has been the secondary coach at Concord University (D-II - WV) since 2013 before adding the special teams coordinator title this past season, has accepted a defensive graduate assistant job on Bobby Petrino's staff working with the secondary, per source.

Gardner Webb (FCS - NC): Wide receivers coach LaDonte Harris has added the title of recruiting coordinator.

Carson Newman (D-II - MO):Due to a contract falling through, Carson-Newman is looking for a game the second week of the 2016 season, September 10. We are open to any levels and home-and-home contracts. Please contact if interested.

Augustana (D-II - SD): Augustana University, located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, is seeking applicants for an offensive graduate assistant. Compensation includes tuition, monthly stipend, and a meal plan. Housing is not a part of package. Pasadena City College (JC - CA): Tom Maher, who directed the Pasadena City College team for nine seasons from 1996-2004, is returning as head coach of the program.

Black Hills State (D-II - SD): Black Hills State University, located in Spearfish, SD is accepting applications for the position of assistant football / defensive line coach (special teams experience preferred). Responsibilities include assisting the head coach in directing all aspects of a highly competitive football program including compliance with NCAA DII, RMAC, and University rules and regulations; recruitment of qualified student-athletes; and retention of student-athletes. Bachelor’s degree required and college coaching and recruiting experience are preferred. Other responsibilities may include instruction within the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences, in which a Master’s degree in physical education or related field preferred and/or administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics. This is a full-time, 10-month non-tenure appointment.The salary range will be commensurate with experience and degree. Wollongong Devils (Australia): The Wollongong Devils are seeking applicants for all coaching positions (and coordinators). Qualifications: minimum of 2 years of collegiate coaching required, strong professional/interpersonal communication skills and organizational efficiency, outstanding character and leadership qualities a must. Duties include coaching your own position, contribute to the game plan, scouting and signing players, as well as other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach. This is a 6 month contract from July 31st, 2016 to January 29th, 2017 that will pay $2500 per month, housing, access to a car, insurance, retirement contribution, travel to/from Australia.
