Scoop Him Up:Jared Boyd recently wrapped up his time as a defensive graduate assistant at Duke University in May, where he also played. After coming back from three ACL tears, Boyd decided his love and passion for the game would be better suited on the sidelines than the field. Boyd worked with the secondary during his tenure with the Blue Devils and was also very active with the strength and conditioning program. Throughout his career as a Duke athlete, Boyd learned not only how to be an athlete, but how to teach the game of football. These skills were developed by working alongside the likes of Duke head coach David Cutcliffe, East Carolina head coach Scottie Montgomery, Duke defensive backs coach Derek Jones and Duke defensive coordinator Jim Knowles during his time in Durham.
