Florida A&M (FCS): Ed Pata, who coached the offensive line on the old staff, has been retained by Alex Wood, per sources.

Michigan: Buffalo Bills running backs coach Tyrone Wheatley has accepted the same position at Michigan per Sam Webb who covers Michigan.

Houston: Former Iowa State running backs coach Kenith Pope will be the new running backs coach for Tom Herman at Houston. Pope coached the outside linebackers at Incarnate Word this past season.

Clemson: Clemson has announced a new four-year deal for defensive coordinator Brent Venables taking him through the 2018 season. Also, the other eight assistants all received two-year deals.

Augustana (D-III - IL): Monmouth (D-III - IL) head coach Steve Bell is the new head coach at Augustana.

Michigan State: Michigan State has now announced the hiring of Mark Snyder and his official title will be linebackers coach / special teams coordinator. Newly promoted co-defensive coordinator Mike Tressel (who has coached the linebackers at MSU since 2007) will continue to coach the linebackers as well.

Tulsa: Justin Hill has been announced as the running backs coach. Hill, a former running back and linebacker at Rice, previously served as the associate director of athletic performance at Baylor, where he has been since 2012.

Union College (NAIA - KY): Union College is no longer accepting additional applications for the WR job. We appreciate the overwhelming interest in the position.

North Greenville (D-II - SC): North Greenville University, located 15 minutes outside of Greenville, SC, is looking from a Home game on 10/24/15 for which they will be willing to play an away game on 10/22/16 in return. They are also looking for a home game on 11/14/15 in which they are willing to pay a guarantee. Contact Head Coach Jeff Farrington through email at if interested.

Malone (D-II - OH):Due to a late drop of a non-conference game, Malone University is looking for a non-conference home game on October 31, 2015. Interested teams should contact Director of Football Operations Caleb Norrick at No phone calls please.

Chowan University (D-II - NC): Per source, Josh Cue has accepted an assistant coaching job at Chowan working with the running backs or tight ends. Cue, who joins the program after working in the St. Louis Cardinals minor league system, will also serve as head strength coach.

Mississippi Valley State (FCS): Mississippi Valley State is looking for Home Games and has open dates on, September 26, October 3, and November 14 2015. Looking for a Home and Home, but would consider one year deals as well. All D2, NAIA, and D3 programs will be considered. San Jose State: Per source, former Michigan special teams coordinator Dan Ferrigno will be the new special teams coordinator at SJSU. Ferrigno is well known in California having coached at Cal, USC, San Diego State, Oregon, Oregon State, etc... Further, we also understand that defensive backs coach Donte Williams has added the recruiting coordinator title and responsibilities.

Washington Redskins: NBC Washington is reporting that Eric Mangini, who has been coaching the tight ends with the Niners, will interview for the defensive coordinator job on Jay Gruden's staff. Mangini is the former Patriots defensive coordinator and former Jets head coach.

Tarleton State (D-II - TX): Per source, associate head coach Mason Miller will add the offensive coordinator title. Will update as more becomes clear...

Georgia: Marshall tight ends coach / recruiting coordinator Todd Hartley has accepted a position on the UGA staff, per a report fromThe Daily Mail. Georgia has been looking to fill their director of player personnel role, and Hartley (a former UGA grad assistant and young, energetic coach) sounds like the guy. Will update... Update> Source confirms Hartley's role will be director of player personnel.

East Los Angeles (CC - CA): East Los Angles College is currently seeking applications to fill three Assistant Football Coaching positions. Offensively looking for a TE/RB Coach and looking for the two best defensive candidates (either DL, LB, or DB), with the possibility of also coordinating. All three are stipend positions ($8,000) with no benefits. Recruiting ability and availability are essential. South Florida: Per SI, Miami (OH) running backs coach Autry Denson is expected to join Willie Taggart's staff at USF. We have been told the same.

RPI (D-III - NY):RPI is looking for games for the 2017 and 2018 seasons. The open dates are: 2017 (Sept. 2, 2017 – Home) and 2018 (week 1: Sept. 1, 2018-Away AND week 2: Sept. 8, 2018 Home). St. Xavier (NAIA - Chicago, IL):SXU has open dates on Sept. 19th and Oct. 3rd for 2015. Looking for a home and home but would consider one-year deals as well and would provide a minimal guarantee to come to Chicago in 2015. Alabama State: Per source, Arkansas-Pine Bluff special teams coach John Hendrick is joining the Alabama State staff.

Bethel (NAIA - TN): Bethel University is looking for one game and has open dates on September 5 and 12 of 2015 along with the corresponding dates in 2016 - September 3 and 10. Looking for a two year deal with an NAIA program. Must have a home game in 2015 and would prefer to play on September 5. Please contact Chris Elliott at if interested.

Georgia: Dave Van Halanger, a longtime UGA staff member that Richt brought with him from Florida State back in 2001, has decided to move on after spending the last four seasons as the program's director of player welfare, and the ten years prior to that as the head strength coach. Update> Richt added during his presser today that he has restructured the staff and that Van Halanger's position will not be filled.

University of Texas-Permian Basin: Per source, Tarleton State (D-II - TX) offensive coordinator Justin Carrigan will be announced as the first head coach at UTPB later this morning.

Houston Texans: Alex Marvez is reporting that New York Jets offensive line coach Mike Devlin will be the new offensive line coach for the Texans.

Cornell (D-III - IA): IA): Cornell College in Mount Vernon IA is applications for a defensive intern position. Job includes coaching a position, film break down, and recruiting. The position also includes coaching track and field and some residence hall duties. Compensation includes a stipend and housing. Allegheny (D-III - PA): Allegheny College is currently seeking applications to fill two Assistant Football Coaching positions, Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks Coach and Offensive Line Coach. Both positions are full-time, twelve-month appointments with a comprehensive benefits package. Located within 2 hours of Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Buffalo, our location provides a rich recruiting area for our athletic programs. The Offensive Coordinator/Quarterback’s Coach and Offensive Line Coach are both responsible for assisting the head coach. A Bachelor’s degree is required; however a Master’s degree is preferred. The ideal candidates will have previous college coaching experience as a play caller. They must also possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, communicate effectively (verbal and written), have the ability to multi-task and operate within an extremely motivated, team oriented atmosphere.
