Christopher Newport University: Former Christopher Newport University player Ryan Wever has been hired to coach the linebackers.

Alabama State: Our sources tell us Alabama State has hired former Hampton offensive coordinator Fred Kaiss as offensive coordinator, Shannon Harris as wide receivers coach, and Will Scissom as offensive line coach. We hear that former LSU grad assistant Dom Stevenson will join the staff as safeties coach. Antonio Braford will be retained and will serve as the tight ends / associate head coach.

Lindsey Wilson College: is accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant football coach (Linebackers or Defensive Backs). Responsibilities include coaching linebackers or defensive backs during practices and games, recruiting, video editing, assisting with the strength and conditioning program, and other duties within the football program. Lindsey Wilson College is a member of the Mid-South Conference of the NAIA. This position is available to begin immediately. Benedictine University: is seeking applications and nominations for 11 month position of Assistant Football Coach / Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. Responsibilities will include: assisting the football program on defense (preferably experience with linebackers, recruiting, and editing of game and practice film. Assist the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach with the development and administration of the strength and conditioning program for Benedictine University football program and other teams assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Strict compliance with NCAA regulations and policies of the University and the Northern Athletics Conference; assistance with practice and game-day duties including pre-game/practice warm-ups; collaboration with Athletic Training staff as to the monitoring and rehabilitation of student-athletes with injuries; assistance with communication of strength program organization to prospective student-athletes and parents; and assist with supervisory responsibility of strength and conditioning interns & Benedictine University Fitness Center. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred. Experience: Previous collegiate coaching preferred along with experience with strength training and conditioning programs. Florida State: The Florida State assistant coaches have all received a 10% pay raise and 1-year extension. The new salaries are Mark Stoops ($440,000), Eddie Gran ($335,000), James Coley ($335,000), Greg Hudson ($335,000), Lawrence Dawsey ($242,000), DJ Eliot ($192,000), Dameyune Craig ($192,000), strength coach Vic Viloria ($176,000). Rick Trickett signed a new 3-year deal at $400,000 annually in February. Stoops, Gran, Coley, and Trickett must repay $75,000 (year 1) and $50,000 (year 2) if they take another job.
