Western Michigan: Former Southern Miss defensive coordinator David Duggan will be the linebackers coach at Western Michigan per SI. He will replace Tem Lukabu, who will join the 49ers' staff per SI.

Susquehanna (D-III - PA): Susquehanna University seeks an assistant football coach coaching the tight ends / fullbacks. Preferred candidates will have prior experience playing or coaching. Candidates will be responsible for coaching their own position group, on the road recruiting in a specific area, film editing/breakdown (HUDL), and all other duties assigned by the head football coach. San Franciso 49ers: Western Michigan linebackers coach Tem Lukabu is joining the Niners staff, per SI.

Limestone (D-II - SC): The school has decided to part ways with Bobby James, the first head coach in program history. Defensive coordinator Drew Anthony, who joined the staff three years ago, has been interim head coach for spring practice.

Scoop him up: Perry Carter spent the past two seasons coaching the safeties at North Texas under Dan McCarney. Prior to the appointment with the Mean Green, Carter served as the assistant defensive backs coach with the Houston Texans, and has prior coaching experience with the Hamburg Sea Devils and at Texas A&M Commerce. Carter has extensive professional playing experience in the NFL and in the Canadian Football League. Over the past 12 seasons coaching, Carter has built relationships with coaches like Gary Kubiak, Wade Phillips, John Skladany, Vance Joseph, and Ray Rhodes. Carter hopes to land a position working with the defensive backfield and programs can reach him at pcdb20@aol.com.

RPI (D-III - NY): Per source, RPI has a defensive line position open. We understand the position is part-time.

Clemson: Following an appearance in the national title game and an undefeated regular season, the entire coaching staff and seven support staff members have received 2-year extensions, effective February 1st according to multiple reports. Defensive coordinator Brent Venables is getting a salary increase from $1.35 million to $1.425 million, and offensive coordinators Tony Elliott and Jeff Scott will make $625,000 each after earning $400,000 each last season. Salaries for the remaining assistants are as follows; defensive line coach Marion Hobby ($500k), offensive line coach Robbie Caldwell ($465k), defensive tackles coach Dan Brooks ($450k), tight ends coach Danny Pearman ($355k), defensive backs coach Mike Reed ($400k), and quarterbacks coach Brandon Streeter ($275k). The board also approved an annual salary of $360,000 for strength and conditioning director Joey Batson, $270,000 for DFO Woody McCorvey, and $170,000 for director of football recruiting and external affairs Thad Turnipseed.

Virginia Tech: West Virginia corners coach Brian Mitchell has now been formally announced as the new corners coach at VT. Also, defensive coordinator Bud Foster will coach the linebackers, while linebackers coach Galen Scott will move to safeties.

Colorado Mesa (D-II): Sources tell FootballScoop that Colorado Mesa has finalized their coaching staff as follows; Ben Martin will move to defensive coordinator and coach the linebackers, Jeromy McDowell will move from wide receivers to offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach, Mac Alexander will coach the safeties / secondary, Tom Everson will coach the defensive line and co-coordinate the special teams (with an emphasis on the coverage units), Riley Newcomer will co-coordinate the special teams (focusing on the return units), Willie Ponder will now coach the receivers, Justin Drudik will coach the corners and coordinate recruiting, Mike Chavez will continue as offensive line coach / associate head coach, and Andy Hoffman will continue coaching the tight ends and will assist all special teams.

Minnesota State Mankato (D-II): Per source, Simpson College (D-III - IA) head coach Jim Glogowski is stepping down to join the Minnesota State Mankato staff. We understand he will serve as defensive coordinator come fall.

Slippery Rock (D-II - PA): As we said a few weeks ago, Valdosta State (D-II - GA) quarterbacks coach Justin Roper is expected to be named named offensive coordinator, and word should be official in the coming days. Roper replaces former SRU offensive coordinator Zack Patterson, who left to take the running backs job at Sam Houston State (FCS - TX).

Catholic University (D-III - Washington, DC): Catholic University is accepting applications for a graduate assistant position working with the Defense. Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to: working with position group, video editing, equipment room duties, assisting with on-campus recruiting visits, having an out of region recruiting area, and other duties as assigned by the head coach and the administration. The position runs 9 months from September until May. Applicant must be able to provide Transcripts & be admitted to Graduate School (click here to apply http://admissions.cua.edu/graduate).
