UL-Lafayette: There is talk that Gulf Coast CC head coach Steve Campbell may join Mark Hudspeth's staff at ULL. Our sources tell us that is not a done deal as of tonight.

North Texas: Earlier in the week, we reported that Dan McCarney had talked with former Colorado assistant Kent Riddle. We have now learned that Riddle has accepted a position on the staff at North Texas. A source also tells us that Nick Quartaro, a former offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach at Kansas under Mark Mangino, has joined the staff at North Texas. Quartaro was not in the coaching profession this past year.

Minnesota: Both coordinators at Northern Illinois are going with Jerry Kill to Minnesota.

Kent State: We hear South Florida offensive coordinator Todd Fitch will not interview for the position.

UL-Lafayette: Sources tell us that Mississippi State wide receivers coach Mark Hudspeth has accepted the head coaching position at Lafayette. We hear that Hudspeth plans to offer positions to Troy offensive coordinator / inside receivers coach Kenny Edenfield and former Mississippi State assistant Reed Stringer.

Furman: We have learned that Bruce Fowler has accepted the head coaching job at Furman University.

Hardin-Simmons: We have learned Jesse Burleson will be named the new head coach. Burleson coached the offensive line this past season.

Colorado: We have confirmed with sources close to the situation that former Akron head coach JD Brookhart has accepted the tight ends / passing game coordinator / special teams coordinator job at Colorado.

Edmonton Eskimos: Kavis Reed will be announced today as the new head coach.

Calgary Stampeders: Quarterbacks coach Dave Dickenson has been promoted to offensive coordinator.

New Mexico: We have learned offensive coordinator Darrell Dickey and offensive line coach Mike Degory are no longer with the staff. We are also hearing Mike Locksley will move special teams coordinator Toby Neinas to linebackers.

Who is viewing The Scoop? This morning we asked one of our interns to look at the analytics from yesterday on The Scoop. Yesterday, we had viewers from all 32 NFL offices, over 650 college teams and when we asked him how many high schools his eyes crossed, he said, "I stopped counting at 4,000." Good work young man.

Colorado: Cal offensive line coach Steve Marshall has accepted the offensive line job at Colorado. Also, our sources tell us Kanavis McGhee will be joining Jon Embree's staff at Colorado.

Ball State: We hear Akron defensive coordinator Curt Mallory has interviewed at Ball State.
