James Madison (FCS - VA): Per source, University of Houston director of recruiting Adrian Mayes is planning to accept an offer to join Everett Withers staff as running backs / co-offensive coordinator.

Minnesota: Per source, Louisiana Lafayette offensive coordinator Jay Johnson will join the Minnesota staff in the same capacity (OC/QBs). The Star Tribune is reporting the same.

Southern Illinois (FCS): Source tells FootballScoop that Northwest Missouri State defensive coordinator Rich Wright has chosen to remain at Northwest Missouri State. Wright had been targeted as defensive coordinator at SIU.

Minnesota: Source tells FootballScoop that FAU offensive line coach Bart Miller will be the new OL coach at Minnesota. OwlScoop has reported the same.

Purdue: Tim Lester, who served as Syracuse's offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach on Scott Shafer's staff, has been hired to coach the quarterbacks.

Kentucky: Sources tell FootballScoop that Cincinnati offensive coordinator Eddie Gran has been offered the same position at Kentucky. We hear the deal should be formalized tomorrow.

South Dakota State (FCS): South Dakota State is seeking candidates for a defensive coaching position. The preference is extensive experience coaching the defensive backfield but will entertain experience at any of the defensive positions. Earned bachelor’s degree and minimum one year experience coaching at the collegiate level. Northwest Missouri State University (D-II): NWMSU is seeking to fill two graduate assistant positions starting this semester. One is an offensive position (RBs / offensive skill experience preferred), the other position is on defense (DB experience preferred). Successful candidates must be admitted into a program within the Health and Human Services Department (Sports Admin. or Physical Education). Requirements include a minimum 2.75 GPA in undergraduate study, a combined GRE Score of 280 on verbal and quantitative segments, and a 3.5 on the writing section. Fullerton (JC - CA): Offensive coordinator Bob Moran is leaving for the head coaching job at Cabrillo HS (CA).

Cleveland Browns: The Browns are expected to retain head coach Mike Pettine and fire general manager Ray Farmer according to Jason Cole of Bleacher Report.

Southern Illinois (FCS): Per source, Minnesota offensive grad assistant Trevor Olson will be the new offensive line coach at SIU.

Scoop him up: Bartley Webb is an offensive line coach (and former high school All American who went on to play at Notre Dame) who has worked under some of the most respected OL coaches in football. Webb currently coaches the offensive line at Springdale HS (AR), the high school where Gus Malzahn saw a ton of success, and has spent time as a graduate assistant under Bill O'Brien and Rick Stockstill and lists Mac McWhorter, John Latina, and John Strollo among his references.

Toledo: Per source, NIU linebackers coach Ross Watson will join Toledo's staff.

James Madison (FCS - VA): Sources tell us that Gardner-Webb (FCS - NC) defensive coordinator / secondary coach Randall McCray is a strong candidate for the defensive coordinator position on Everett Withers' staff. McCray is the former outside linebackers / special teams coordinator at Wisconsin.

Texas Southern: Dallas Blacklock, the director of high school relations for Tom Herman at Houston, will be the wide receivers coach on Mike Haywood's staff, per SI.

Hawaii: Boston College defensive backs coach Kevin Lempa is the lead candidate for the Hawaii defensive coordinator position, per sources. Lempa previously served as defensive coordinator at Hawaii from 2000 - 2002.

Fresno State: The Fresno Bee is reporting that Eric Kiesau is emerging as a leading candidate to be Fresno State's new offensive coordinator. We can confirm the same. Kiesau is currently an analyst at Alabama; but previously served as offensive coordinator at Washington and coached receivers at Kansas, Cal, Colorado, etc...

Bluefield College (NAIA - VA): Bluefield College is seeking applicants for a 10 month, full-time entry level assistant coach position. Would consider OL, QB, LB, DB and will reshuffle staff positions based on best candidate/fit. Responsibilities include but not limited to coaching a position, successful recruiting, academic coaching & spiritual growth of players, film breakdown (HUDL), and other office assignments.
