Houston: David Gibbs has been hired as defensive coordinator per Joseph Duarte of the Houston Chronicle (we have confirmed). Gibbs was the Texans secondary coach in '09 & '10 and previously served as Auburn's DC in 2005 and as Minnesota's from '97-2000....nine total years NFL experience.

Tuscullum College (D-II - TN): We hear linebackers / special teams coordinator Tim Tobin will also take on the role of head strength and conditioning coach. 

Philadelphia Eagles: Seahawks defensive coordinator Gus Bradley will interview for a second time tomorrow. 

Indianapolis Colts: Multiple reports have the Colts making Jimmy Raye their vice president of football operations. 

Chicago Bears: Multiple reports out there state that Marc Trestman and Darrell Bevell are the two finalists for the head job. We have also seen a report that Bruce Arians is still in it. We'll keep you posted. 

Syracuse: Sources tell us Elmhurst (D-III - IL) head coach Tim Lester will join the Syracuse staff as quarterbacks coach. 

Virginia Tech: Former Auburn offensive coordinator Scot Loeffler will join the staff as offensive coordinator per Bruce Feldman. 

Illinois: Bill Cubit has now officially been named offensive coordinator and Billy Gonzales has shifted to receivers (previously co-offensive coordinator as well).

Detroit Lions: The Lions have announced that Curtis Modkins (previously offensive coordinator / running backs coach with the Bills) has joined the staff and will coach the running backs, Bobby Johnson (from the Jacksonville Jaguars) will coach the tight ends, and Tim Lappano will move from tight ends to receivers while assistant offensive line coach Jeremiah Washburn will serve as offensive line coach. Also, special teams coordinator Danny Crossman will not return.

Fort Valley State (D-II - GA):Ft. Valley State University has the following open dates: October 19 and October 26. Looking for any D-II or FCS opponents. Will consider home or away games. Contact Head Football Coach Don Pittman at 229-869-3544

New Mexico: Angelo State defensive backs coach (grad asst) Justin Richter has accepted a grad assistant position at New Mexico we hear. 

College of the Desert (JC - CA): College of the Desert has some position open on the defensive side of the ball. Positions are stipend only with possible adjunct teaching for candidates with a master’s degree. Please send resume to head coach Dean Dowty at ddowty@collegeofthedesert.edu

College of DuPage (JC - IL): Offensive coordinator Pat Arthurs has been promoted to interim head coach. Athletic director Paul Zakowski is leading a national search for a new head coach. Allegheny College: Allegheny College is no longer accepting applications for their open positions.

Florida State: We told you last week; but adding position, Randy Sanders will coach the running backs at FSU.

Western Illinois: Quick recap of head coach Bob Nielson's hires; Matt Entz (associate head coach / defensive line), Steve Crutchley (assistant head coach / running backs coach / recruiting coordinator), Ted Schlafke (quarterbacks / pass game coordinator), A.J. Blazek (offensive line / run game coordinator), Tyler Yelk (defensive backs / special teams coordinator), Atiba Bradley (linebackers). Also, Brian Ward (defensive coordinator) and Kevin Palermo (defensive assistant) will return to the staff.

Philadelphia Eagles: Ken Whisenhunt interviewed for the head coaching job today, the Eagles announced. They will also interview Jay Gruden today. 

Dubuque (D-III - IA): Former Luther College (IA) head coach Mike Durnin has joined the staff as assistant head coach.

Ball State: Sources tell us the safeties job is open.

San Jose State: Sources tell us that Washington grad assistant / corners coach Donte Williams has accepted the defensive backs job.

Army: Defensive tackles coach Clarence Holmes will not return. Slotbacks coach Tucker Waugh will move to receivers and receivers coach Andy Guyader moves to recruiting coordinator. Bob Caldwell reports that Wayne Moses is likely to join the staff as running backs coach. 

Southwest Minnesota State: Sources tell us that Grant Murray, from Millikin University, has joined the staff and will coach the tight ends. Shane LaDage, who coached the tight ends previously, will move to receivers.

New England Patriots: Bill Belichick has announced that Brian Daboll will be re-joining the Patriots staff. Daboll was the offensive coordinator in Kansas City last season.

Wilmington College (D-III - OH): Former Cincinnati assistant coach Greg Forest has been brought on staff to serve as offensive coordinator. Forest spent the past two seasons at Buffalo State as offensive coordinator.

Troy: Sources tell us that Rutgers defensive quality control coach Harland Bower has accepted the defensive grad assistant spot.

LA Tech: Sources tell us Ronnie Bradford will join the staff coaching the defensive backs and special teams. 

UW-Stevens Point (DIII - WI): Stevens Point is looking for a game Week 1, Sept. 7th in 2013. Also have openings in 2015, 2016 & 2017. Please contact Head Coach Tom Journell – Tom.Journell@uwsp.edu

Moravian College (D-III - PA): Sources tell us that Dan Csencsitz has resigned as offensive coordinator.

Baldwin Wallace (D-III - OH): We hear Baldwin Wallace has a full time offensive line opening.

Bethany College (NAIA - KS): Bethany College is seeking applicants for their head coaching position. Concordia University (D-II - MN): Sources tell us Todd Strop has accepted a position the staff at Concordia. 

Purdue: Dave Biddle is reporting that Jim Bollman will join the staff as offensive line coach. Bollman spent last season with Boston College as the offensive line coach / run game coordinator.

Philadelphia Eagles: The Eagles will interview Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden today, according to multiple media outlets.

San Diego Chargers: Multiple outlets are reporting that the Chargers will interview Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy today.
