Former Oklahoma athletic director Donnie Duncan has passed away after a battle with cancer. Duncan, who was a part of Barry Switzer's staff in the 70's, was also the head coach at Iowa State in the early 80's. Please join us in praying for coach Duncan's family.

Buffalo Bills: Sources tell FootballScoop that John Blake, who had joined the Lamar (FCS - TX) staff as defensive line coach back in mid-February, is joining Rex Ryan's staff as defensive line coach.

Saginaw Valley State (D-II - MI): Former Hope College (D-III - MI) linebackers coach Bill Lund has been hired to coach the linebackers, sources tell FootballScoop.

Auburn: Per source, defensive graduate assistant Brandon Wheeling has been been promoted to a defensive analyst role working with the defensive line, and offensive graduate assistant Jonathan Brewer has been promoted to an offensive analyst position working with the wide receivers.

Illinois: The Illini have now formally announced the addition of Hardy Nickerson as defensive coordinator. Nickerson was coaching the linebackers for the Niners previously. Also, Andrew Hayes-Stoker has joined the staff to coach the wide receivers.

North Alabama (D-II): Ryan Aplin has been hired to coach the receivers and serve as the recruiting coordinator at North Alabama. Aplin, a former quarterback at Arkansas State, has served as an offensive graduate assistant at Auburn the last two seasons.

North Carolina State: Per source, Indiana State wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator Kriss Proctor has accepted an offensive quality control position at NC State.

Scoop him up: After wrapping up his playing career at Louisiana Lafayette in 2012, Brady Thomas joined the Ragin' Cajuns staff and has since worked in a variety of roles including a student assistant (working with the running backs), and administrative intern / quarterbacks assistant, and most recently as an offensive graduate assistant working with the quarterbacks and wide receivers with the title of Head GA on staff. During his time at ULL, Thomas has done everything from assist quarterbacks in identifying coverages in meetings, to data entry and run reports, to signaling plays on game day, to recruiting and evaluation of prospects. Thomas has built relationships with Mark Hudspeth, Jay Johnson and Reed Stringer, among others in the coaching profession. Programs interested in reaching Thomas can call him at 817-223-8376.

Missouri Valley (NAIA - MO): Missouri Valley College invites applications for a full-time assistant football coach and instructor. The successful candidate must possess a Master’s Degree and have previous experience in coaching defensive line. Experience with recruiting and strength program considered a plus. Midwestern State (D-II – TX): Midwestern State University is currently seeking qualified applicants for a defensive backs coach. Coaching responsibilities to include; but not limited to, defensive backs. Coaching & playing experience at Division I FBS, FCS and Division II is preferred. Morehead State (FCS - KY): Per source, linebackers coach Zack Moore has been promoted to defensive coordinator, inside receivers / tight ends coach Milo Austin has added director of football operations to his title, and Patrick Hill (who interned at James Madison and coached the defensive line at Ferrum) has been hired as defensive line coach. Also, Dominique Battle has joined the staff as assistant defensive backs coach working with the corners, per source.

Oklahoma Panhandle State (D-II): OPSU is still looking for a game on Sept. 10, 2016 with possibility for a corresponding date (week 2) in 2017. Open to any level but would prefer for 2016 game to be played at OPSU. Please email Coach Gaskamp, head coach, at if interested.

Louisville: Louisville has now announced the addition of Lonnie Galloway as co-offensive coordinator, a duty that he will share with offensive line coach Chris Klenakis. Galloway will also coach the wide receivers, while Nick Petrino will handle the quarterbacks.

Tulane: Willie Fritz has formally announced the additions of Slade Nagle (TEs), Jamaal Fobbs (RBs), Jeff Conway (WRs), Chris Hampton (DBs), Derrick Sherman (offensive assistant), and Chris Couch (special teams assistant) to complete his staff.

Youngstown State (FCS - OH): Per source, former YSU player Donald D'Alesio has been hired to coach the defensive line, and we understand that co-coordinator Carl Pelini will move from defensive line to linebackers.

Chadron State (D-II - NE): Offensive line coach / recruiting coordinator Jacob Iodence has accepted the head coaching job at Lee Williams HS (Kingman, AZ).

Buffalo Bills: Head coach Rex Ryan has announced that defensive line coach Karl Dunbar has been let go. Dunbar was previously a part of Ryan's staff with the Jets for three seasons before joining the Bills staff.

Lycoming (D-III - PA): Lycoming College is accepting applications for an entry level coaching position. Responsibilities include assisting the head coach in all facets of the program, including coaching a position, recruiting prospective student-athletes, organization and planning of all practices, game preparation, film breakdown, and monitoring the academic progress of student-athletes. A Bachelor’s degree is required. Previous participation and/or coaching experience with the secondary are preferred. This position is for 1450 hours annually and will pay an hourly rate based on experience. There are also some meals included. South Florida: Defensive line coach Eric Mathies will add the title of recruiting coordinator and defensive backs Alonzo Hampton will add duties working with the special teams Willie Taggart announced today.

Illinois: Per source, defensive backs coach Paul Williams will stay on board as part of Lovie Smith's staff. Scout has reported the same. Also, multiple reports state that tight ends coach / special teams coordinator Jeff Hecklinski will not be a part of the new staff.

Duquesne (FCS - PA): Matt Stansfield has been named run game coordinator / tight ends coach. Stansfield served as offensive coordinator at Waynesburg University (D-III - PA).

Clarion (D-II - PA): Sources tell FootballScoop thatClarion has filled their offensive line job with Steve Baisey, who worked in a quality control role at Old Dominion last season.

Louisville: West Virginia receivers coach Lonnie Galloway is leaving to become the co-offensive coordinator at Louisville, per Mike Casazza.

Ball State: Ball State University is in search for a highly motivated graduate assistant for the recruiting department. This person will assist the Director of Player Personnel in daily recruiting operation duties. The selected candidate will need to be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint as well as having experience using JumpForward. A successful candidate should also be creative and have the capability to operate social media portals with the ability to create graphics using programs such as Adobe Photoshop.
