West Virginia: Miami Dolphins assistant defensive backs coach Blue Adams will coach cornerbacks at West Virginia per SI. We can confirm the hire. Also, wide receivers coach Lonnie Galloway has agreed to a contract extension through the 2017 season and a raise of $25,000 according to the Charleston Gazette-Mail. Galloway, who will now make $375,000 annually, is the only non-coordinator on staff with a multi-year deal..

Wisconsin-Eau Claire (D-III): Dan Larson has added five new coaches to his staff in Matt Ebner (DC), Michael McHugh (OL), Anthony Aker (WRs), Zach Rout (strength and conditioning) and Al Sega (DL). Ebner spent the last three seasons at UW-River Falls (D-III) in the same role and played his college ball at UW-Eau Claire, McHugh joins the staff from Minnesota-Duluth (D-II) where he coached the tight ends, Aker was at UW-Stevens Point (D-III) the last three seasons coaching the wide receivers, Ruot coached the wide receivers and served as strength and conditioning coordinator and recruiting coordinator at Luther College (D-III - IA), and Sega served as the co-head coach and defensive coordinator at Eau Claire Memorial HS (WI).

Cumberland University (NAIA - KY): Dewayne Alexander, a former Cumberland head coach, has returned the the program as offensive coordinator. Alexander previously served as the acting head coach and offensive line coach at Tennessee Tech (FCS) following the retirement of Watson Brown.

Scoop him up:Jon Shelton is a veteran college coach with experience at Maryland, Montgomery CC (MD), Bryant University, Kansas, and more recently, Shelton spent eight seasons on staff at the University of New Hampshire coaching the defensive line before being chosen for the Bill Walsh Minority Fellowship with the Philadelphia Eagles in the summers of 2014 and 2015. Shelton spent the past two season on staff at Southern Connecticut as the defensive coordinator, and currently serves as the assistant head coach. Shelton has strong recruiting ties on the east coast and also created an outstanding sexual assault prevention program aimed at educating male student athletes that has garnered a tremendous amount of attention and support from student-athletes and college administrators. Pace University (D-II - NY): Former West Virginia Wesleyan co-defensive coordinator / defensive backs Markell Harrison is joining the staff at Pace University as defensive backs coach source tells FootballScoop.

Robert Morris (NAIA - Chicago, IL): Robert Morris University is accepting applications for an assistant football coach on defense. A bachelor’s degree, as well as collegiate coaching and recruiting experience are required. The preferred candidate will have experience coaching linebackers. Responsibilities include assisting the head coach in directing all aspects of the football program, along with being a member of the Robert Morris University athletic admissions team. Salary is $27,000 in year one, with the possibility of increasing to $32,000 in year two. This position does not include benefits. All candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a background check. The anticipated start date for this position is July 1st, 2016. Oklahoma Baptist (D-II): Herman Smith, the former defensive line coach at Victor Valley (JC - CA) and a 5-year NFL veteran, has been hired as an assistant defensive line coach and Walter Boyd (who coached the tight ends and fullbacks the past two seasons for the program) will now coach the defensive line.

Rutgers: The Asbury Park Press revealed the salary details of Chris Ash's staff at Rutgers today, noting that the nine member staff will have an assistant salary pool of $2.34 million. Offensive coordinator Drew Mehringer and defensive coordinator Jay Niemann both have two-year deals and will make $450,000 annually. The rest of the assistant coaches have one-year deals; offensive line coach AJ Blazek and defensive line coach Shane Burnham will make $240k annually a piece, defensive backs coach Bill Busch and special teams coordinator Vince Okruch will earn $225k each, wide receivers coach Zak Kuhr and running backs coach Jafar Williams will both earn $185k each, while defensive backs coach Aaron Henry will make $140k. Ash has a five-year deal worth $11 million total. Rutgers is paying the seven assistant coaches that were let go after last season that have yet to find jobs elsewhere a total of $2.6 million, and just as a reminder, Kyle Flood is collecting $1.4 million as part of his buyout.

Alfred State College (D-III - NY): Alfred State College has an immediate need for an energetic and passionate assistant football coach with a great work ethic to work on the defensive side of the ball. Duties include but are not limited to: coaching your own position, recruiting of a specific area, working with HUDL, and other responsibilities as assigned by the head coach. This is a stipend position paying $6,000 and does not include meals, housing, or insurance. UTSA: University officials are disputing a $1.56 million buyout owed to Larry Coker over three years, who adds that he was "termintated without cause" and "“They had to pay me to make a change. Just whatever my contract said, that’s what they had to pay me. It was only fair. They knew that when they let me go,” according to a report from MySanAtonio. Coker adds that he is getting some of the money, but wouldn't go into specifics about how much he is owed, and that exact figure seems to be the point of contention with UTSA officials.

Southern Miss: Alcorn State tight ends coach AJ Antonescu is joining the Southern Miss staff as a graduate assistant working with the offensive line, per the Clarion-Ledger.

Campbellsville (NAIA - KY): Campbellsville University is accepting applications for dual running backs/strength coaching position. Responsibilities will include coaching and recruiting the RB position, running the team’s strength and conditioning program, weekly game planning, film breakdown (Hudl) and all other duties as assigned by the head coach. Compensation will be discussed. Campbellsville is looking for applicants of high character that have a passion for coaching and the energy to perform all the duties associated with being a full time coach. Illinois: Athletic director Josh Whitman officially introduced new head coach Lovie Smith this morning via Twitter with a few pictures. Per a release from Illinois, Lovie has a six-year deal worth $21 million total, including $2 million in 2016-2017, $3 million in 2018, $4 million in 2019 and $5 million for 2020-21. Smith will be introduced at a 3pm EST press conference.

Brisbane Outlaws (Australia): The Brisbane Outlaws of the National Gridiron League are accepting applications for a vacant offensive line position. Collegiate coaching experience is required. Compensation package will include the following: Salary ($2,500US/month), shared housing, insurance, retirement contribution, travel to/from Australia, and use of 2 shared autos with other assistant coaches. The initial contract will be from July 31, 2016-January 29, 2017, with a team option for year two.
