Former Montana State head coach Cliff Hysell passed away Sunday at the age of 72. A 1966 MSU graduate, Hysell is a member of the Bobcats' Athletics Hall of Fame. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Pac-12: The Pac-12 has announced sweeping reform that will now include guaranteed four-year scholarships, improved health care, liberalized transfer rules and more.

Michigan: Stephen Ross, the Miami Dolphins owner, a prominent U-M alum and a strong supporter of athletics director Dave Brandon, said today he won't interfere if president Mark Schlissel decides to fire Brandon. “I don’t think alumni should control universities,” Ross told the Wall Street Journal. “We have a great president and he is running the university and not me.” Coaches tell us Michigan now has a Dave Brandon dilemma.

Chicago Bears: With the franchise off to a 3-5 start, Marc Trestman was asked if there would be any changes to his coaching staff and responded by saying "there will be no staff changes midseason".
