New Mexico: We learned late tonight that former Akron assistant Kevin Cosgrove has decided to accept a position on Bob Davie's staff at New Mexico rather than the position offered by Montreal. 

Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (D-III - CA): CMS is seeking applicants for defensive line. The position pays $15,000, includes benefits and five meals per week. For more information and application details, please visit this link.

Colgate: We hear that Colgate has already identified their finalists for the offensive line position. We hear they plan to name their guy within the next week.

Elon: We have learned that Slippery Rock linebackers coach Freddie Aughtry-Lindsay has been named linebackers coach.

Texas Tech: As we alluded to last Thursday, Fred Tate from Marshall has been hired to coach the defensive line at Texas Tech.

Stanford: David Shaw has announced that running backs coach Mike Sanford has added the title of recruiting coordinator. 

South Dakota School of Mines (D-II): Jarod Dodson has been named defensive coordinator. Dodson is the former co-defensive coordinator / defensive backs coach at Old Dominion.

Thiel College (D-III - PA): We hear that former Rutgers defensive tackle Charlie Noonan has been brought on staff to coach the defensive line.

Northern Illinois: Defensive line coach Ryan Nielsen has been promoted to assistant defensive coordinator.

Hastings College (NAIA - NE): MacMurray (D-III - IL) offensive coordinator Rich Mayson has joined the staff.

Montreal Alouettes (CFL): Sources tell us that former Akron linebackers coach Kevin Cosgrove has accepted the same position with Montreal.

VMI: Head coach Sparky Woods has officially announced that Jeff Farrington has been hired as defensive coordinator, and will also coach the secondary.

Western Michigan: Safeties coach Rich Nagy has added the title of defensive coordinator. Defensive line coach Lou Esposito has added the assistant head coach for the defense title, and Amp Campbell (who coached the corners last season) will now coach the entire secondary and serve as defensive passing game coordinator. On the offensive side of the ball, offensive line coach A.J Ricker will serve as run game coordinator and quarterbacks coach Ryan Cubit has added the co-offensive coordinator role to his title.

Salve Regina (D-III - RI): Salve Regina University (Newport, RI) is seeking an Assistant Football Coach for Offense. This is a Full-Time position with benefits. Coordinating experience is preferred. Salve Regina University is located in historic and scenic Newport, RI and is situated on Newport’s Cliff Walk. Qualified candidates must be willing to assist the Head Coach with the planning and operation of all aspects of the football program. Assist the Head Coach with the recruitment and retention of football student-athletes and perform other related duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach. Other duties and responsibilities include Winter and Spring game management as well as assisting with the club sports programs. Detroit Lions: Defensive assistant Don Clemons has decided to retire. Clemons spent 27 seasons with the Lions and had coached every defensive position during that span.

Colgate: We have learned the offensive line job is open. Casey Vogt, who coached the offensive line last season, has resigned.

Tampa Bay Bucs: Earnest Byner has accepted the running backs job on Schiano's staff. Byner is an NFL veteran and his coaching stops include the Titans, Jaguars and Redskins.
