Chadron State(D-II - NE): Black Hills State (D-II - SD) head coach Jay Long has been named head coach at Chadron State. 

Oregon State: Sources tell us to look for Mike Riley to name former Indianapolis Colts assistant Rod Perry his new defensive backs coach. 

South Alabama: South Alabama officially named former Memphis assistant Jerry Mack as their receivers coach today. 

Lamar University (FCS - TX): Lamar is seeking to fill two positions, defensive coordinator and receivers. Please contact head coach Ray Woodard at raymond.woodard@lamar.edu

Colorado State: Sources tell us that Louisiana Tech defensive coordinator Tommy Spangler interviewed recently with Jim McElwain but has decided to remain with Louisiana Tech. 

Kentucky Christian (NAIA): Kentucky Christian University is looking to hire a defensive backs coach. Position includes room and board only with no stipend. Interested applicants should contact head coach Mike Furrey at mfurrey@kcu.edu

Arkansas State: Gus Malzahn has added Dean Jackson to the coaching staff. Jackson joins Arkansas State after serving as defensive line coach / assistant head coach at Naaman Forest HS (TX) the past three seasons. Jackson also served as the administrative assistant to the head coach and director of high school relations at Tulsa in 2009. 

Tulsa: As we told you last week, Dartmouth defensive line coach Calvin Thibodeaux has been hired in the same capacity at Tulsa.

Pittsburgh Steelers: Mort is reporting that the Steelers have hired Todd Haley to serve as offensive coordinator. 

Rice: David Bailiff has officially announced the promotion of corners coach Chris Thurmond to defensive coordinator as well as the additions of Larry Hoefer to coach the safeties (last coached safeties at Baylor in 2010) and David Sloan (who served in a support role last season) as tight ends coach. Bailiff also indicated that offensive coordinator John Reagan will move from tight ends to running backs and linebackers / special teams coordinator Darrell Patterson has added the assistant head coach title.

St. Louis Rams: The St. Paul Pioneer Press is reporting that Vikings player personnel director George Paton will interview for a second time for the Rams general manager position.

Nicholls State: We have learned that Charlie Stubbs has hired Matt Clark, offensive grad assistant at Louisiana Monroe, as tight ends coach and has promoted running backs coach Chuck Hepola to associate head coach. Defensive coordinator Jeremy Atwell has been promoted to assistant head coach. Wide receivers coach Justin Anderson has been promoted to passing game coordinator and Ed Dillon has been promoted to corners / video coordinator. 

Albright College (D-III - PA): Albright, a member of the highly competitive Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC), is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Intern Assistant Football Coach for defense. Qualifications: Bachelors degree required with successful football playing and/or coaching experience, strong professional/interpersonal communication skills and organizational efficiency, outstanding character and leadership qualities a must. The successful applicant should also possess strong computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power-point, and Access software. Experience with Hudl digital video editing system is a plus. Duties include coaching your own position; plan, organize, and instruct positional meetings and drills; contribute to defensive game plan; recruit your own territory and attract top quality student-athletes to attend Albright College. Administrative duties include: game week organizational tasks, including; film breakdown, opponent scouting, self-scouting, tendency reports, video cut-ups, scouting reports, assist S&C coach with weight room, assist Video Coordinator with digital editing system, oversee and counsel players on academic and social issues, and other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach. Includes a $3,000 annual stipend paid over a 10 month contract, free off-campus housing, free meal plan in campus dining hall. No health benefits are included with this position. Wisconsin: Bret Bielema has hired Eddie Faulkner as tight ends coach. Faulkner served as running backs / special teams at NIU last season; but had agreed to join Paul Chryst's crew at Pitt last month as running backs coach. Now he's reunited with Matt Canada who was OC at NIU and is now OC at Wisconsin. 

Nevada: Chris Ault has promoted safeties coach Mike Bradeson to defensive coordinator. In making the announcement, Ault added confirmed what we have previously told you...he's looking to hire an offensive coordinator / quarterbacks, needs to fill the offensive line spot vacated by Cam Norcross and now the running backs spot with Casey Moore leaving. The defensive staff is full (will go with 4 coaches). 

Briar Cliff (NAIA - IA): Cory Miller has been hired to coach the defensive backs. Miller spent last season in the same capacity at Illinois College (D-III).

Tampa Bay: Pat Dooley of the Gainesville Sun just tweeted that according to his sources, University of Florida defensive coordinator Dan Quinn interviewed to be the DC in Tampa; but decided to stay at Florida. 

Oakland Raiders: Just reconfirming what we told you Saturday afternoon. Stanford co-defensive coordinator Jason Tarver has accepted the defensive coordinator job with the Raiders. Done deal. 

University of St. Thomas (D-III - MN): We have learned that Albright College defensive ends coach Rob Hollway will join the Tommies' staff. Details to come. 

Montana State: We hear that former Memphis quarterbacks coach / play caller Kevin McGiven will be named offensive coordinator at Montana State. 

Pac-12: Commissioner Larry Scott's contract has been extended through 2016. Just our hunch; but we're guessing there were some significant additional dollars involved as well. 

Nevada: We have learned that running backs coach Casey Moore will not return to the staff. Moore, a four year starter at Stanford, spent two seasons at Nevada after serving as a grad assistant at Stanford for two seasons. 

Louisville: As we told you a while back, quarterbacks coach Shawn Watson has been promoted to offensive coordinator. We also hear that offensive grad assistant Sherrone Moore has been promoted to tight ends coach. Offensive line coach Dave Borbely has added the title of run game coordinator. 

Whittier College (D-III - CA): We have learned that Whittier has hired Cerritos College (JC) assistant offensive line coach Kurt Landgren as offensive line coach.

UTEP: We hear that Patrick Walsh, tight ends coach at Pacific University, has accepted the offensive grad assistant spot at UTEP.

Southwest Minnesota State University (D-II): SMSU is looking for a Graduate Assistant (Wide Receivers or Running Backs). Responsibilities include practice/game preparation, recruiting, summer camps, equipment, video and all other aspects of the football program. Qualifications include acceptance into graduate school (3.0 minimum GPA), enrolling in a minimum of six credits per semester, and candidate must meet the MnSCU vehicle driving qualifications. Compensation package includes $8,000 and tuition waiver. Review of candidates will begin in two weeks and continue until filled. Expected start date in June/July. VMI: We have learned that Mercer defensive coordinator Jeff Farrington has accepted the same position at VMI.

Miami Dolphins: We hear that Iowa defensive grad assistant Charlie Bullen has been hired by the Dolphins as a defensive coaching assistant.

Augustana College (D-III - IL): We have learned that Augustana has hired Anthony Scott from St. Augustine's College (D-II - NC) as offensive line coach.
