Ball State: Former ULL special team coordinator / running backs coach Justin Lustig has accepted the same position at Ball State. Joey Lynch will remain with the staff, but now coach the tight ends. He will also serve as the recruiting coordinator.

San Diego Chargers: Special teams coach Steve Crosby will not return.

West Virginia: Oklahoma State running backs coach Robert Gillespie has accepted the running backs job at West Virginia.

Western State: Defensive backs coach / special teams coordinator Jas Baines has been promoted to head coach at Western State.

Furman: We are hearing that Bruce Fowler has hired former Gardner-Webb defensive coordinator John Windham in the same capacity.

BYU: We are hearing that Brandon Doman could soon be promoted to offensive coordinator.

Blinn JC (TX): We hear learned that Brad Franchione has resigned as head coach.

Miami (FL): We are now hearing that Al Golden is talking to a new coach about the offensive coordinator position at Miami (FL).

Indiana: We have just learned that Northwestern wide receivers coach Kevin Johns has accepted the wide receivers / passing game coordinator job at Indiana.

UL-Lafayette: We have learned that tight ends coach / recruiting coordinator Reed Stringer has added the title of assistant head coach.

Purdue: Donn Landholm will no longer make the calls on defense, but will remain as linebackers coach. Co-defensive coordinator Gary Emanuel will now call the plays on defense.

Kent State: We have learned that Purdue wide receivers coach Brian Rock has accepted the offensive coordinator job at Kent State.

UCONN: Assistant head coach for defense Hank Hughes has been named interim head coach.

Texas: Alabama defensive line coach Bo Davis is interviewing today in Austin with Mack Brown.

Omaha Nighthawks (UFL): Head coach Jeff Jagodzinski will not return.

Cleveland Browns & Carolina Panthers: Both teams will reportedly interview NY Giants defensive coordinator Perry Fewell.

UT-San Antonio: We are hearing Midwestern Texas defensive backs coach Nathaniel Jones accepted a position on Larry Coker's staff at UT-San Antonio.

Arizona: We have just learned that former BYU offensive coordinator Robert Anae has accepted a job at Arizona.

Miami (FL): We are hearing that UCONN running backs coach Terry Richardson is set to join Al Golden's staff at Miami (FL).

Northern Illinois: FormerWestern Kentucky quarterbacks coach (2009) Bob Cole has accepted the wide receivers job at Northern Illinois. Cole did not coach at the college level this past season.

Florida: The Gainesville Sun reports that Seattle Seahawks defensive line coach Dan Quinn has accepted the defensive coordinator job at Florida. Quinn worked with Muschamp when the two coaches worked under Nick Saban at Miami.

UCLA: We are hearing the Norm Chow is in a staff meeting at UCLA and has not been dismissed.

University of Richmond: FootballScoop has just learned that Old Dominion corners coach Zohn Burden has accepted the wide receivers job at Richmond. We have also learned that Bowling Green assistant DFO Erin O'Riley has accepted the director of football operation job at Richmond.

Troy: We hear Larry Blakeney is considering moving Kenny Edenfield to quarterbacks and hiring either Texas Tech grad assistant Sean Reagan or Auburn offensive quality control Casey Woods for the wide receivers job.

AFCA: We hear the AFCA is expecting a huge turnout this year with over 8,000 coaches expected to attend.

Pitt: The Pittsburgh Post Gazette is reporting Dave Wannstedt has decided not to coach in the BBVA Compass Bowl against Kentucky. Phil Bennett will serve as the head coach.

Northwest Missouri State: We have learned that offensive coordinator Adam Dorrel has added the title of assistant head coach.

Maryland: Our sources tell us one of the assistants in the report previously mentioned has not yet been offered a job by Edsall.

Florida: Will Muschamp has hired Texas assistant AD for football operation George Wynn.

Florida: Former Notre Dame offensive line coach Frank Verducci accepted the offensive line / run game coordinator job at Florida. Verducci served as the offensive line coach at Notre Dame during Charlie Weis' final year in South Bend.

UL-Lafayette: As expected, South Alabama offensive line coach Mitch Rodrigue accepted the offensive line job at ULL. Rodrigue coached with Central Michigan quarterbacks coach Jay Johnson while as Southern Miss. Johnson interviewed last week for the offensive coordinator job at ULL. Johnson will serve as the offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach.

Cleveland Browns: Eric Mangini has just been dismissed as head coach of the Cleveland Browns.

UCLA: There is a report that Norm Chow is out at offensive coordinator. The Bruin Report Online reports that Rich Neuheisel has contacted San Diego State offensive coordinator Al Borges. FootballScoop has yet to confirm this information, but Neuheisel has indicated for weeks that Chow may not return.

Dallas Cowboys: Jerry Jones says he is real close, but has not made a final definite decision on Jason Garrett as head coach.

San Francisco 49ers: ESPN's Adam Schefter just reported that the 49ers want Jim Harbaugh, but the organization is interested in talking with Marvin Lewis. With the season ending yesterday for the Bengals, Lewis' contract is up in Cincinnati.

Elon University: We hear official at Elon University have interviewed Maryland defensive coordinator Don Brown. We also continue to hear an assistant coach in the SEC is involved in the Elon search.

Maryland: According to the Washington Post, Randy Edsall informed the Maryland assistants that UCONN offensive coordinator Joe Moorhead, running backs coach Terry Richardson, and special teams coordinator Lyndon Johnson will be joining his staff at Maryland.

Alcorn State: Our sources tell us that Alabama State offensive coordinator Melvin Spears and Mississippi State corners coach Melvin Smith are interested in the Alcorn State head coaching job.
