Bemidji State: Our sources tell us Central Lakes College quarterbacks / wide receivers coach Karson Pike has accepted a grad assistant position working the defensive backs at Bemidji State.

Claremont Mudd Scripps College: Rick Candaele has stepped down as head coach. We hear defensive coordinator /defensive line coach Steve Retzlaff has been promoted to head coach.

Bethel College (KS): an NAIA, Liberal Arts, Faith Based school in Newton, Kansas is accepting applicants for three (3) Graduate Assistant/Restricted Earnings type positions; one Offensive and two Defensive positions. Offensive position is working with the TE's, and the defensive positions will work with DL and LB's. Responsibilities: Oversee aspects of your position and coaching your specific position including on field, and meeting/film time. Working with the offensive and defensive coordinator's with practice schedule and film breakdown. Recruit a designated area. Assist with travel, academic, and weight room responsibilities as well as other responsibilities designated by the Head Coach. Qualifications: Bachelors Degree, successful coaching and or playing experience at the college level preferred. Small stipend, room and board provided on campus. Start date is August 2, 2010. Portland State: We are hearing that running backs coach Kevin Emberton has decided to accept a position outside of football.

Waldorf College: an NAIA school in Forest City, Iowa is accepting applicants for the position of Assistant Football Coach/Defensive Coordinator/Linebackers. Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of the defense, including staff and game-day responsibilities. Coach linebackers including on-field coaching, position meetings, and film breakdown. Recruit designated areas. Assist with travel and academic responsibilities as well as other responsibilities designated by the Head Coach. Qualifications: Bachelors degree required, Masters degree preferred. Successful experience coaching linebackers and coordinating the defense at the college or level preferred. Candidate should have the integrity and desire to coach at a faith-based institution. Full time position includes salary plus benefits. Start date is August 2, 2010. Montana State: Stillman College offensive coordinator Kerry Dixon II accepted the running backs job at Montana State.
