Running Backs: Finalists for the 2011 Running Backs Coach of the Year
Georgia: Bonus update...for reaching the SEC championship game, the Georgia staff have earned significant bonuses. Richt will receive $75,000 (another $25,000 if they win), Todd Grantham will receive $18,000 (another $21,000 if they win), Kirk Olivadotti, Mike Bobo and Rodney Garner each will get about $25,000, Scott Lakatos, Jonh Lilly, Tony Ball, Will Friend and Bryan McClendon will all receive $20,000.
Ohio State: At his presser today, Urban described how he offered Luke Fickell a spot on his staff (interesting story). Fickell accepted. Urban did not commit to what title Fickell will hold as he wants to confirm the composition of his staff before assigning all titles (we like this move). Of Fickell, Urban said he'll hold a senior position on the staff (and it's being reported in Columbus he'll retain his $775,000 salary).
Washington State: AD Bill Moos says he will meet with Paul Wulff before noon tomorrow and he will announce his decision tomorrow afternoon.
Charleston Southern (FCS): Defensive coordinator Thielen Smith has resigned. Some of the assistants' assignments will be changed going forward. Offensive coordinator Patrick Nix will work primarily with the offensive line, while Chuck Kelly's responsibility will move from the offensive line to the running backs. Gabe Giardina will move his focus from the running backs and special teams, to wide receivers and special teams.
Florida: Director of football administration Mark Pantoni has left the Gators. We hear he will be part of the off the field staff with Urban at Ohio State.
Montclair State (DIII - NJ): We hear that defensive backs coach Ron Gavazzi will not return.
Tulane: We hear they are close...
Midland University (NAIA - NE): Head coach Casey Thiele will be stepping down and transitioning to the role of assistant athletic director. Midland is currently seeking applicants for their next head coach. If interested, send letter of application, resume and contact information for three references to footballsearch@midlandu.edu. Please indicate "Head Football Coach" in the subject line of your email. Applications submitted by December 5th will be given preference. Position will remain open until filled.
Ohio State: Urban's base compensation is six years, $4 million per; but click this link to see the full agreement. Retention bonuses will be earned if Urban remains employed on 1/31/14 ($450,000), 1/31/16 ($750,000) and 1/31/18 ($1.2 million). He earns an additional year each time he wins the Big Ten championship game. Varioius bonuses available up to $250,000 for playing in the national championship game. Golf club membership, use of private jet, etc...
Weber State: Names to watch (guys that have interviewed or that the AD would like to interview): Beau Baldwin HC at Eastern Washington, Kyle Gillenwater DC at James Madison, Brian Wright OC at Montana State and DeLane Fitzgerald HC at Southern Virginia...and several current and former members of the BYU staff.
Coffeyville CC (KS): Former Itawamba offensive coordinator Aaron Flores has been named the new head coach at Coffeyville.
Rice: We are told that David Bailiff will return.

Arizona State: Dennis Erickson will receive a $750,000 buyout and will coach the bowl game.
UTEP: Sources at UTEP tell us that the AD is supportive of Mike Price and they do not anticipate a change at the top.
UCLA: UCLA just put out a release confirming what we told you earlier. Neuheisel's final game as head coach at UCLA is this weekend's game vs. Oregon in the Pac-12 Championship. Offensive coordinator Mike Johnson will serve as interim coach during the search.
Alabama: Saban just offered up that no team has contacted him about speaking with Kirby Smart.
Tennessee: We're hearing big staff changes coming at Tennessee. More to come...
Highland CC (KS): We hear Butler offensive coordinator Ryan Held is the new head coach.
University of Pikeville (NAIA - KY): We hear that linebackers coach / special teams coordinator Charles Stewart is no longer with the program.
Texas Tech: AD Kirby Hocutt said earlier today that Tommy Tuberville will return. Hocutt added, "It's a low point for us; but my confidence remains strong with Tommy."
Coaches: Nearly any staff in America would like to have any of these guys coaching their receivers. See the Finalists for Wide Receivers Coach of the Year presented by SpeedTracs.
Memphis: Athletic director R.C. Johnson has now confirmed his intent to step down this Summer.
UCLA: We have confirmed that Rick Neuheisel has been informed this morning that this will be his last week as head coach.
Ohio State / LSU: It will be interesting to see if Urban is able to pry LSU offensive coordinator Greg Studrawa away from Les. The connections are plenty and the invitation is there we are told; but Stud's got something special going on at LSU and Les won't let him go without a fight.
Arizona: No shortage of coaches contacting Rich Rod to discuss staff positions. We hear he'll make some decisions this week. We'll keep you posted.
Miami: Al Golden said this morning that he expects to retain both coordinators (and that he doesn't currently anticipate making any staff changes).
Ohio State: ESPN is reporting that Urban Meyer has accepted the head coaching position. Reports are 7 years / $40 million. Details and additional coverage to come...
Arizona State: Kevin Sumlin will get a look; but it won't surprise us if June Jones winds up with this job.
Coaches of the Year presented by SpeedTracs: Finalists for Quarterbacks Coach have been released. Plenty more to come throughout the day.
Toronto Agronauts: We hear Montreal offensive coordinator Scott Milanovich has agreed to become the new head coach of the Argonauts.
