Georgia Tech: Defensive coordinator Al Groh has been relieved of his responsibilities. More to come on this... Georgia Tech just released this statement from Groh, "I aimed to give the best that I had every day. It's been an honor to be a part of the legacy of Georgia Tech football. I feel positive that this is a good time in life to move on to a new situation." Groh, who is 68, was in his third season as defensive coordinator at Georgia Tech. Sources tell us that defensive backs coach Charles Kelly will likely call the defense the rest of the season; but we have not confirmed. Update>Paul Johnson said this afternoon that Charles Kelly will indeed run the defense
