Delta State (D-II): We have learned that Delta State will announce the hiring of Jamey Chadwell early this week as head coach. Chadwell comes from D-II North Greenville where he went 11-3 this season and 9-3 last season. North Greenville lost in the quarterfinals this year to Delta State; but we hear the way he and his team handled that game was something that impressed the decision makers at Delta State.

Texas A&M: Sources close to the situation tell us it's highly likely that Mississippi State defensive coordinator Chris Wilson winds up in the same or similar role on Kevin Sumlin's staff.

Mississippi State: In addition to Wilson, we hear that corners coach Melvin Smith might make a move "up North". We'll keep you posted.

Texas Southern: We hear Lewis Tillman has been offered the running backs job and Carl Roberts from Jackson State has been offered the offensive line job.

Akron: We have been told that Chuck Amato has accepted the defensive coordinator position. We hear that Todd Stroud will be joining the staff as defensive line coach (from Colorado State...but has worked with Amato before) and we hear that Terrell Buckley will coach the corners.

Purdue: Multiple sources telling that more changes are coming on the defensive side of the ball. Will keep you posted.

Fresno State: Multiple sources tell us that Tim DeRuyter has offered the offensive coordinator role to Dave Schramm (running backs & former offensive coordinator / quarterbacks) at Utah.

Washington: Sark announced minutes ago that Nick Holt (defensive coordinator), Jeff Mills (safeties) and Mike Cox (linebackers) have all been released.

Pitt: In an interview he gave at the Rose Bowl, Wisconsin linebackers coach Dave Huxtable acknowledged that Paul Chryst offered him the defensive coordinator job at Pitt (multiple sources told us he accepted). He said in the interview that since the offer, Bielema has talked him into staying at Wisconsin. We'll keep you posted.
