Arizona: Arizona AD Greg Byrne tweets tonight that Rich Rod turned down South Carolina's offer tonight and will stay at Arizona. Ain't that something. Bruce Feldman reports that he can confirm South Carolina offered the job to Rich and Rich decided to turn it down while on the plane flying back to Arizona.

South Carolina: Reading the tea leaves on this one; but fact that Will Muschamp hasn't been announced yet leads one to believe this is Rich Rod's job. Thinking Rich might be headed back to Arizona to let his squad know in person tomorrow. Will update when more is known; but feels like this will be leaked / announced tomorrow after Rich has had a chance to speak with his team.

South Florida: USF has announced a five-year extension for head coach Willie Taggart.

South Carolina: Industry sources believe the Gamecocks are down to Will Muschamp and Rich Rodriguez. Read more here.

Bowling Green: Defensive coordinator Brian Ward will coach the Falcons in their bowl game.

North Carolina: Larry Fedora has agreed to a seven year extension with UNC per Joe Schad. Update:The school has announced the extension.

Rutgers: Ohio State co-defensive coordinator Chris Ash will be Rutgers' next head coach per multiple reports. Sports Illustrated first reported the news. More on the hire here.

Eastern Kentucky (FCS): Per multiple sources, Eastern Kentucky is advancing rapidly towards a hire. Per sources, Southern Miss offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey is a very strong candidate and barring an unexpected change, could be offered the position as early as tomorrow. Lindsey, a former highly successful high school coach with multiple programs in Alabama (including as head coach at Spain Park), has served as offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach at Southern Miss the past two seasons, as an offensive analyst at Auburn in 2013 and coached the quarterbacks at Troy in 2010.

Syracuse: Joe Schad is reporting that Dino Babers will accept the head job at Syracuse. We have confirmed the hire. In two years as head coach at Eastern Illinois Babers won 19 games. In 2014 at BGSU, Babers won 8. This season they won 10 capped by last night's MAC championship win over NIU.

Dixie State (D-II - UT): Sources tell FootballScoop that interviews for the head coaching position will take place early this upcoming week. Per source, Gary Crowton is a finalist and will interview.

North Texas: Seth Littrell will be the Mean Green's new head coach. Read more here.

Da Anza Community College (CA): Head coach Dan Atencio is retiring after a long & successful coaching career.

Antelope Valley College (CC - CA): We understand that there is an assistant position available (defensive backs preferred).

Wayne State (D-II - NE): Wayne State, located in Wayne, Nebraska, has an immediate opening for one Defensive Graduate Assistant coach. The Graduate Assistant’s primary coaching responsibilities will be defensive line. Previous experience is preferred. The position requires a highly motivated person to assist with the implementation of practices, evaluation of prospective student athletes, off and on campus recruiting, scouting opponents, and other duties as assigned by the head coach. Applicants must qualify for the State of Nebraska defensive driving certificate. Graduate Assistantships are granted based on acceptance into Graduate School at Wayne State College.
