Sad news to pass along as we have learned that coach Bob Dipipi has passed away. Dipipi, who coached at Temple, Cal and Princeton among other places, was well liked within the profession and by his players and will be missed my many. Our prayers and condolences are with Coach Dipipi's family.
Wyoming: The Cowboys will hire North Dakota State head coach Craig Bohl to the same position according to Bruce Feldman. We've been hearing this all day, but have not confirmed. The timing sure is odd; but if accurate this is a great hire.
Sul Ross State (D-III - TX): Sources tell us Tarleton State offensive coordinator Justin Carrigan was a strong candidate for the Sul Ross head coaching position but has chosen to withdraw from the process.
Florida State: The Palm Beach Post is reporting that Jimbo Fisher has agreed to a new agreement (5-7 years averaging about $4.1 million per). The Post says an announcement from the University will come early next week.
Grambling: Head coach Broderick Fobbs will earn $195,000 per year under his new contract.
Tulane: Curtis Johnson has agreed to an extension that runs through the 2020 season. Huge for CJ.
Hardin-Simmons (D-III - TX): Hardin-Simmons is looking for a new defensive coordinator. Bob Fello will not return. Information is on the HSU website.
New Mexico: Sources tell us defensive coordinator Jeff Mills will not return to the staff.
Wyoming: Sources tell us that Illinois State head coach Brock Spack is on Wyoming's campus today interviewing for the head coaching position. Update> We have heard from coaches at Illinois State that Spack was at Illinois State today.
Albany (FCS): Sources tell us Maryland assistant head coach/defensive line coach Greg Gattuso will be the new head coach at Albany.
Boise State: The Idaho Statesman has identified the Broncos' top three targets as Washington defensive coordinator Justin Wilcox, Arkansas State head coach Bryan Harsin and Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter. All three have significant Boise ties.
Bloomsburg (D-II - PA): Paul Darragh has removed his interim tag and will be Bloomsburg's full-time head coach. Darragh led Bloomsburg to a 10-2 finish, a PSAC championship and a berth in the Division II playoffs in 2013.
