UT-Permian Basin (D-II): Head coach Justin Carrigan has announced his first two hires - co-defensive coordinator/defensive line coach Chris Mineo and co-defensive coordinator/ linebackers coach Jacob Martin.

Northern Arizona (FCS): Offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello will not return after three seasons with the Lumberjacks.

Clarion (D-II - PA): Interim head coach/offensive coordinator Chris Weibel has been named the full-time head coach at his alma mater.

Western Carolina (FCS): WCU's Board of Trustees has approved a four-year contract extension for head coach Mark Speir. Terms were not disclosed.

Hawaii: Sources tell us Norm Chow is set to hire Idaho State offensive coordinator Don Bailey and former SMU defensive coordinator Tom Mason to the same posts. Our story on the hires.

New Orleans Saints: Arkansas running backs coach Joel Thomas has accepted the same position with the Saints per SI.

Notre Dame: There was a report this morning that former Buffalo head coach Jeff Quinn was joining the Notre Dame staff as quarterbacks coach. We have reason to believe that report is not accurate.

Ohio State: Per source, Notre Dame's Tony Alford plans to accept Urban Meyer's offer to join the staff at Ohio State as running backs coach.

Arkansas: Bret Bielema's contract has been extended through 2020. He'll average $4.25 million per year and can earn up to $1 million per year in incentives. Read more here.

Houston: New Mexico run game coordinator / tight ends Derek Warehime will be the new offensive line coach at Houston, per source.

Houston: U of H is in talks to extend athletics director Mack Rhoades' contract according to Joseph Duarte of the Houston Chronicle. Rhoades has two years remaining on a contract that pays him $537,600 annually.
