LSU: Les Miles is in Dallas interviewing several defensive coordinator candidates, according to Baton Rouge Advocate LSU beat writer Ross Dellenger. Dean Blevins of News 9 in Oklahoma City reported Saturday that Oklahoma defensive coordinator Mike Stoops is among that group, and that Blevins expects Stoops to be offered the job tonight...and then take a couple of days to consider. Coaches we have spoken with about Stoops' potential fit say "that would be a drastic change from the type of coach on Les' 2014 staff". We'll keep you updated as we hear more. For what it is worth, sources we spoke with this AM said they didn't expect a hire today.
Washington Redskins: Wade Phillips will interview for the Redskins' vacant defensive coordinator job next week according to the Washington Post.
Auburn: Florida defensive backs coach Travaris Robinson will join Auburn's staff, according to multiple reports and as we and Auburn coverage told you when Muschamp went there. Auburn has confirmed the hire as well. Our story.
UTSA: Per source, offensive line coach Jim Marshall and wide receivers coach Marquis Mosely will not return.
Montana Tech (NAIA): Sacramento State defensive assistant John Hughes has accepted the offensive line position at Montana Tech.
Baylor: Per source, Baylor has filled all its open positions.
Florida: Per source, Oakland Raiders defensive line coach Terrell Williams has agreed to become new defensive line coach at Florida. Western Kentucky special teams / running backs coach Greg Nord will join the staff as well per Bruce Feldman of FoxSports.
Virginia Tech: AD Whit Babcock posted a statement on Virginia Tech's website today noting that he "supports the plan that Coach Beamer has in place moving forward."
Louisiana-Monroe: Per source, Todd Berry is hiring Jacksonville State grad assistant Cody Wells (who played quarterback for Berry) as inside receivers coach and will move current inside receivers coach Mario Price to running backs.
New York Jets: Former Bills coach Doug Marrone is set to interview with the Jets today according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Nebraska: Cincinnati co-defensive coordinator/linebackers coach Hank Hughes is leaving for the co-defensive coordinator/defensive line job at Nebraska, according to Tom Groeschen of the Cincinnati Enquirer. We can confirm the move.
Portland State (FCS): Miami (Ohio) deputy athletics director Mark Rountree is the new AD at Portland State.
Buffalo: Former Texas Tech defensive line coach John Scott Jr. is expected to join Lance Leipold's staff in the same capacity according to Thayer Evans of SI.
