Illinois: Multiple outlets, including Fox Sports and Ryan Baker of CBS 2 Chicago, are reporting that former Tampa Bay Bucs and Chicago Bears head coach Lovie Smith is expected to be the new head coach of the Illini. Smith's last coaching stop at the college level was in 1995 coaching the defensive backs at Ohio State. Stay tuned for the latest.

LSU: Defensive line coach Ed Orgeron has added the title of recruiting coordinator and Cam Cameron and the school have agreed to a new three-year deal, per Ross Dellenger who adds that Orgeron will get a raise and extension to go along with his new title shortly.

Illinois: Head coach Bill Cubit has been let go by athletic director Josh Whitman. Today marked Whitman's first official day on the job. Sources tell FootballScoop, most, if not all, of the staff are being let go today as well. Read more here.

Sydney Express (NGL, Australia): The Sydney Express of the NATIONAL GRIDIRON LEAGUE (www.ngl.world) are accepting applications for offensive coordinator and offensive line positions. Collegiate coaching experience is required. Compensation package will include the following: Salary ($2,500US/month), shared housing, insurance, retirement contribution, travel to/from Australia, and use of 2 shared autos with other assistant coaches. The initial contract will be from July 31, 2016-January 29, 2017, with a team option for year two. Urbana University (D-II - OH): Urbana has an immediate need for 3 entry level assistant coaches (2 on offense and 1 on defense). Each position will be responsible for coaching a position group, video editing using HUDL, recruiting, assisting with the strength and conditioning program, and other duties assigned by the head coach. Prior college playing experience and/or experience coaching high school football would be a plus in this position. Simpson College (D-III - IA): Simpson College invites applications for the position of Head Football Coach.
