Vanderbilt: Following their final game this evening, Derek Mason stated that he is expecting to make some staff changes. At FootballScoop, we have heard over the past week or two that changes are likely coming on the defensive side. Will keep you posted as the changes are made.

Troy: Per source, Kentucky offensive coordinator Neal Brown plans to accept the head coaching position at Troy. Here is what we are hearingUpdate> The AP has confirmed our information. Further Update> Bruce Feldman of FoxSports and Pete Thamel of SI have both now reported the same (no reference to our report or to the AP).

Illinois: Going into today's game vs. Northwestern we had been told by sources close to the situation that if Tim Beckman's group won that he would have another year at Illinois. Athletic director Mike Thomas likes Beckman and believes he is on the right path. With the way that game is going, we believe it is safe to say Beckman will be back. With a win, Illinois will finish the regular season 6-6, 3-5 in the Big Ten.

Ten things we learned from Friday's games.
