Miami: Speaking before tonight's game at Florida State, Miami AD Blake James indicated that any decision on Al Golden's future with the program would be made following the season. "As I said from the start, we'll look at everything at the end of the year and make an evaluation. Again, I think the thing you have to look at is if you lose tonight how many games do you have left? [What if] you win all the rest of your games? That's why you always have to evaluate at the end of the year."
North Texas: Head coach Dan McCarney has been relieved of his duties, per AD Rick Villarrel. Sources tell FootballScoop that offensive coordinator Mike Canales and defensive coordinator Chris Cosh will serve as co-interim head coaches. Alrighty then.
Louisiana Tech: The salary pool for the assistant coaches has been elevated to an all-time high of $1.05 million, according to The News Star. In 2014 the salary pool was $999,700. The new salaries for the staff are as follows; DL coach Rick Petri ($120k), offensive line coach Robert McFarland ($120k), safeties coach Karl Scott ($70k), inside WRs coach Joe Sloan ($90k), outside receivers coach Tim Rattay ($90k), special teams coordinator / corners coach Ronnie Bradford ($110k), RBs coach Jabbar Juluke ($110k), and defensive coordinator Blake Baker ($140k). Strength coach Kurt Hester received a bump from $70k to just under $98k and offensive coordinator Tony Petersen was the only returning coach to not receive a pay bump, so his salary remains at $200k.
