Alabama: Nick Saban will undergo hip surgery on Monday. If you think this means the 67-year-old is slowing down, you're sorely mistaken.

DFO Spring Meeting: The itinerary for the upcoming DFO Spring meeting in New Orleans has been released. We look forward to seeing many of you there.

Texas A&M: Former head coach R.C. Slocum has been named interim AD at Texas A&M. Slocum, a College Football Hall of Fame coach, won 123 games during his 14-year tenure as head coach of the Aggies.

NCAA: In addition to defeating a rule that would have slowed graduate transfers, the NCAA has approved new rules that will allow walk-ons and early enrollees to transfer more easily. Details here.

Coe College (D-III - IA): Coe College is accepting applications for the position of intern assistant football coach working on defense. This position is a 9-month appointment beginning on August 1, 2019, and is eligible for an annual stipend and organizational benefits. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to: recruitment of student-athletes on and off-campus, on field coaching, practice planning, monitoring student-athlete academic progress, video editing with Hudl and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Director of Athletics. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree is required; Previous coaching experience (defense) is preferred; Successful completion of a background check in accordance with Coe College policy. Mount St. Joseph (D-III - OH): Mount St. Joseph University, located in Cincinnati, OH has an opening for an assistant coaching position working with the defensive line. Candidates should have collegiate coaching or playing experience at the defensive line position. Additional duties include having your own recruiting area, developing game and practice plans, and assisting with HUDL, This position is a $4,500 Stipend with NO housing or benefits. Fitchburg State (D-III - MA): Brian Camacho has joined the staff a s a defensive assistant, per source. Camacho played his college ball at Nicholls College (D-III - MA).

Bowling Green: Linebackers coach Jim Herrmann is leaving the program to return to the NFL. He spent the past 13 years as a linebackers coach in the league, most recently the Indianapolis Colts. Carl Pelini left his role as defensive coordinator in January to return to Youngstown State as defensive coordinator and head coach in waiting.

West Georgia (D-II): The University of West Georgia is seeking applicants for a video graduate assistant position. This position will run the football programs video operation. Experience with XOS and Visio preferred. The position will also assist with an on the field position to be determined later. This position includes graduate school tuition with stipend for the 2019-2020 school year. Candidates must be admitted into a UWG graduate program. Potential start date would be July 1 st . Alcorn State (FCS - MS): The team has announced that defensive coordinator Cedric Thornton is adding the assistant head coach title, tight ends / fullbacks coach Elliott Wratten has been promoted to offensive coordinator, and Ryan Busz will move from equipment manager to running backs coach.

Reedley (JC - CA): Per source, Reedley JC has added Chima Chindah as safeties coach. Chindah previously served in similar roles at El Camino (JC - CA), L.A. Southwest (JC - CA) and East L.A. College (JC - CA). The last two seasons, Chindah served as Assistant Head Coach at Leuzinger HS (CA).

Trinity Bible (NCCAA - ND): Trinity Bible College is looking to schedule two games in our 2019 schedule. We are open to travel. Our open dates right now are August 31st, September 7th, September, 28th and October 26th. Looking to fill these dates with either D3, NAIA or JUCO teams.
