Virginia Tech: Co-defensive coordinator Galen Scott abruptly resigned today. Justin Fuente then announced director of player development - defense Justin Hamilton is being promoted to a coaching position on an interim basis.

Kentucky: As FootballScoop reported more than a week ago, Kentucky has announced the hiring of E.K. Franks as director of recruiting operations. Mark Stoops has also announced that former director of recruiting operations Dan Berezowitz has been promoted to chief of staff, Josh Pruitt has moved from director of player development to quality control, Josh Estes-Waugh has moved from assistant director of recruiting operations to quality control, and former UK quarterback Freddie Maggard has been hired as director of player development, replacing Pruitt.

Southern Arkansas (D-II): Southern Arkansas University has a graduate assistant opening to coach the linebackers. Interested applicants need to send their cover letter and resume to chadadams@saumag.edu.

Florida: Virginia Tech director of player personnel Chuck Cantor will be Florida's new director of player personnel sources tell FootballScoop. Update: Cantor has now announced the move.

UAB: University of Alabama director of player personnel Jody Wright will return to UAB sources confirmed to FootballScoop. Wright, who previously coached running backs and served as assistant head coach at UAB before joining Nick Saban's staff, is expected to serve as offensive line coach, assistant head coach and recruiting coordinator we are told. Thomas More College (D-III - KY): Thomas More College is seeking applicants for two intern coaching positions (one offense/one defense). Preference will be given to collegiate playing and/or prior coaching experience. Candidates will be responsible for coaching their own position group, on the road recruiting, film editing/breakdown (HUDL), as well as other duties assigned by the head football coach. A Bachelor’s degree and valid driver’s license is required. The position is a stipend position, with room and board.
