Michigan State: Michigan State has approved an automatic 1-year rollover extension for head coach Mark Dantonio as per his contract.
Mississippi State: Louisville defensive quality control Karibi Dede has joined the Mississippi State staff in the same capacity per Bob Carskadon at Mississippi State.
FAU: Source tells FootballScoop, Lane Kiffin is hiring Clint Trickett as his new tight ends coach. Trickett previously coached at East Mississippi CC and had been scheduled to join Nick Saban's staff at Alabama.
Northern Illinois: NC State quality control assistant Jeff Knowles has joined the staff as linebackers coach. Defensive coordinator Kevin Kane will transition to safeties.
Houston: Major Applewhite has announced the hirings of Tim Tekyl as director of high school relations and Bobby Merritt as director of player development. Tekyl was previously the head coach at Rosenberg Terry (TX) High School, while Merritt was the director of football recruiting at Tennessee.
Texas State: LSU graduate assistant and former interim tight ends coach Eric Mateos is headed to San Marcos to serve as offensive line coach, according to Ross Dellenger of The Advocate. FootballScoop can confirm the move.
Georgia State: Furman defensive line coach Skylor Magee is expected to join Shawn Elliott's staff as defensive line coach source tells FootballScoop. Magee coached at Charleston Southern this past season before agreeing to join the Furman staff in January.
Scoop Him Up:Seth Williams is a bright, energetic, well-rounded young coach seeking a full-time position at the professional level. In seven years' experience spread across three Division III programs, Williams has worked with wide receivers, tight ends, defensive backs and kick returners while also assisting in strength and video efforts. He served as JV head coach while producing two all-conference corners and an all-conference wideout at Endicott College (2015-present), produced more all-conference players -- wideouts and tight ends -- while serving as video coordinator at Utica College (2011-14) and helped St. John Fisher College (2007-11) to a conference title as a student assistant. West Alabama: Source tells FootballScoop Steve Sisa is expected to become the new defensive coordinator at West Alabama. Sisa, the former James Madison defensive coordinator, served this past season as co-defensive coordinator at Arkansas Tech.
Oregon: Head strength coach Irele Oderinde will be reinstated Sunday after serving a 1-month suspension resulting from three player hospitalizations, an Oregon spokesman told Dennis Dodd of CBSSports.com.
Valley Forge Military College (JC - PA): Per source, Lou Orth is now the head coach at Valley Forge Military College.
San Francisco 49ers: Kyle Shanahan has confirmed that former Jags linebackers coach Robert Saleh will be his defensive coordinator.
Georgia: Source tells FootballScoop Itawamba offensive line coach Will Peagler is joining the Georgia staff, filling the role recently vacated by DJ Looney. Peagler most recently served as an offensive quality control at Minnesota working with the offensive line.
East Central Community College (MS): ECCC is currently seeking two volunteer coaches/part-time student service assistants, preferably with Mississippi ties, for 2017-18 football season. The coaching positions are running backs and linebackers. Both are 10 month positions requiring competent computer skills (HUDL,and Microsoft Office). Duties will include working with student services and monitoring campus dorms. Compensation is based on an hourly wage with meals, insurance and housing provided. Oregon: Well, here's a twist. Michael Johnson, the California high school coach Paul Finebaum ripped Jim Harbaugh for hiring on Thursday, is headed to Oregon as wide receivers coach according to Sam Webb of The Michigan Insider.
Minnesota Vikings: Former Purdue and Kent State head coach Darrell Hazell is expected to join the staff as wide receivers coach, according to Alex Marvez.
Atlanta Falcons: Former Washington wide receivers coach/passing game coordinator Bush Hamdan has been announced as quarterbacks coach. The defending NFC champions have also announced former Rutgers head coach Kyle Flood as assistant offensive line coach, Dave Brock, Charlie Weis, Jr., and Justin Outten as offensive assistants, and, as FootballScoop first reported Monday, Georgia State defensive line coach Jess Simpson as a defensive assistant.
San Francisco 49ers: The Niners are expected to hire former Nebraska star Daniel Bullocks as assistant defensive backs coach, according to Alex Marvez. Bullocks spent last season in the same post with the Jaguars.
