Oklahoma: OU has announced Alex Grinch as its new defensive coordinator.

Tennessee Titans: Defensive coordinator Dean Pees does plan to return for the 2019 season.

Washington Redskins: As if there was any doubt at this point, Jay Gruden will return for a sixth season, tweets JP Finlay of NBC Sports in DC.

FIU: Source tells FootballScoop defensive line coach Kenny Holmes is not expected to return to the staff. Source adds defensive analyst Kenard Lang is expected to be promoted to fill the role.

Carolina Panthers: Wide receivers coach Lance Taylor will not return, tweets Alex Marvez.

Boise State: Jalil Brown has been announced as cornerbacks coach. He was an assistant strength coach for the Broncos in 2017 and spent 2018 as the cornerbacks coach at Northern Arizona.

New York Jets: The Jets are "interested" in Baylor's Matt Rhule, tweets ESPN's Dan Graziano. The club will be in Texas this weekend to interview Cowboys assistant Kris Richard on Sunday.

Carroll College (NAIA - MT): Head coach Troy Purcell has hired Jared Petrino as defensive coordinator and James Stagg III as secondary coach and co-special teams coordinator, while Alex Kastans will move from defensive line to offensive line coach, Alex Pfannenstiel will remain tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator while adding co-special teams coordinator duties and Colin Furrell has been promoted from defensive assistant to defensive line coach.

McNeese (FCS - LA): Sterlin Gilbert has now made the following hires official: Matt Mattox (offensive coordinator), Lanear Sampson (receivers), Jeff Lepak (receivers), Derek Shay (tight ends), Jim Gush (defensive coordinator), Nick Graham (defensive backs) and Brody Trahan (linebackers).

Louisville: Source tells FootballScoop former North Carolina assistant coach Chad Scott has agreed to join Scott Satterfield's staff at Louisville coaching running backs. Scott previously coached running backs at Kentucky from 2013-15. Following up on yesterday's news that Cort Dennison and Stephen Field had both been offered spots, source tells FootballScoop both are at Louisville today. Update: These hires have been announced, plus Dale Jones as inside linebackers coach.

Miami Dolphins: The Dolphins have requested permission to speak with Saints defensive coordinator Dennis Allen, per Ian Rapoport.

Oklahoma: Back on December 27th we reported that Oklahoma's defensive coordinator search was focused on Alex Grinch. Today,Grinch accepted the position per multiple reports. What this hire means for Grinch and Lincoln Riley.

Pitt: Pat Narduzzi is making some significant changes to his offensive staff.

Houston: Sources tell FootballScoop that Dana Holgorsen is not expected to retain any of the full-time coaching staff.

West Virginia: Per sources, Troy's Neal Brown is expected to be the new head coach at WVU. Head here to read details. 

Pittsburgh Steelers:��Mike Tomlin has announced that the team will not renew the contract of outside linebackers coach Joey Porter.

Miami Dolphins: The Dolphins have announced that they've completed their interview with Patriots defensive coordinator Brian Flores.

Glenville State (D-II - WV): Glenville State is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Assistant Football Coach, coaching the offensive line. Northeastern Oklahoma A&M (JC): Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College is seeking candidates for an assistant position. Candidates with coaching and/or prior collegiate playing experience at the skill positions (DB/LB/WR) are strongly preferred. In addition to running meetings and practice for their assigned position, this position coach will be given a recruiting area, help with hosting recruiting visits, assist coordinator with game and practice plans, data entry/editing for film and recruiting database, and assist the Head Coach and Coordinator as necessary. Dorm responsibilities are a large part of the job. This is stipend position, with room and meals. Clark Atlanta (D-II - GA): Kevin Ramsey is not being retained as head coach. Ramsey took over the program in 2015, and led them to a 3-7 finish this past fall.

Carroll (NAIA - MT): Offensive line coach Tony Arntson will not return, per 406MTSports. In addition, Ryan Kuhn tweets that offensive coordinator Nick Howlett's contract was also not renewed.

Jim Caldwell: Former Lions and Colts head coach Jim Caldwell interviewed with the Cardinals yesterday, and has now completed interviews with the Packers, Browns and Cardinals, per Adam Schefter. Schefter adds that the Jets have also expressed interest.

Memphis: Former Texas Tech offensive coordinator Kevin Johns will be the new offensive coordinator at Memphis, per multiple reports. 247 was the first to report the hire. Johns has previously held a coordinator title at Northwestern, Indiana, and Western Michigan before joining the Red Raiders staff heading into the 2018 season.

Snow (JC - UT): Former BYU star defensive lineman Jan Jorgensen has accepted the defensive coordinator job. Jorgensen spent last season as the defensive coordinator at Orange Coast CC (CA).

Alvernia (D-III - PA): Alvernia University has an immediate opening for a restricted earnings coach on defense. Preference will be given to candidates with linebacker experience, but ultimately we will hire the best candidate. The incumbent will be responsible for their own recruiting area, coaching their own position, managing their own position meetings, contributing to weekly game planning, coaching on special teams, assisting with video editing, and other duties designated by the head coach. Compensation for this position is $8000 plus a small meal stipend. No housing or benefits. There are opportunities to earn additional income. A Bachelor’s Degree is required along with collegiate coaching and/or playing experience. Individuals with experience in strength and conditioning, or graphic design are encouraged to apply. East Mississippi (JC): Defensive quality control coach Nestor Puertas has been promoted to linebackers coach.


Franklin Pierce (D-II - NH): Franklin Pierce University is accepting applications for two graduate assistants, one on the offensive and defensive side of the ball. This position includes tuition and a stipend of $8,000 over 12 months. The responsibilities include coaching a position, practice/game preparation, recruiting, equipment, video, film breakdown, data entry, and other duties assigned by the head coach or Coordinators. Collegiate experience playing and/or coaching is preferred. Interested candidates should send cover letter, resume, and references to Taylor Ewen at . Masters of Sports Administration:Upper Iowa’s MSA degree provides learners with the current theories, concepts, and learning models necessary to assume administrative, coaching and leadership roles in high school, higher education and sports business settings. The online degree is available with emphasis in Sports Management or Coaching & Leadership Eduction.

Stetson (FCS - FL): Stetson is accepting applications for two assistant coaching positions - one working with offense, and the other on defense. Applicants with experience coaching linebackers is preferred. Special teams experience is also desirable. The position is a 12 month appointment with benefits. Other aspects of the job include: He will directly supervise all student-athletes playing his assigned position. The coach will assist in the development and administration of all defensive/special teams’ game plans and the materials necessary to execute them. Bachelor’s degree required. Previous college coaching and recruiting experience are preferred. Computer skills are a must as is knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations; proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, admissions and financial aid officers, fellow employees, program boosters, and the public. Working knowledge of video and recruiting software, as well as other computer softwares (Word, Excel, etc.) and social media is required. Alderson Broaddus (D-II - WV): Alderson Broaddus has an opening for a defensive assistant coaching either Safeties or Corners. This is a ten-month position running August-May that pays a $16,000 stipend, includes a meal plan, and the option for health insurance. Atlantic Schooners (CFL): Hamilton TiCats (CFL) general Manager Eric Tillman will not be returning for a seventh season, and has accepted an offer to become the top executive of the CFL's expansion team.

San Antonio Commanders (AAF): Former Nebraska wide receivers coach Keith Williams and veteran coach Jonathan Himebauch have joined, and complete, Mike Riley's staff. Williams will work with the wide receivers and Himebauch, who has coached in the CFL as well as UNLV, San Diego State, and Wake Forest, will coach the offensive line and serve as run game coordinator.

The College of New Jersey (D-III): TCNJ invites applications for the position of assistant football coach - defensive coordinator or offensive line. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, operations of the assigned sport, compliance with all NCAA and NJAC rules and regulations, adherence to the standards and values of TCNJ and the Athletic Department, recruitment and development of qualified student-athletes, academic support and integrity, competition preparation, practice planning and implementation, and alumni relations.
