Washington State: A former player is suing Mike Leach, alleging "unfair treatment"

Analysts: An SEC head coach explains why he hired 5 more analysts.

Iowa State: In addition to the promotions of Joe Houston (STC), Jeff Myers (OL), and Joel Gordon (QBs) that we covered earlier this morning, Jim Hofher, who coached the quarterbacks last year will shift into a new role as senior offensive analyst / assistant to the head coach.

Central Michigan: Cory Hall, who spent six games as the interim head coach at Oregon State last season after coaching the Beaver defensive backs, is joining the CMU staff as secondary coach, per the Portland Tribune.

Alabama: Austin Mangin has joined the Crimson Tide staff as an analyst, per AL.com. Mangin was a fullback at LSU from 2005-2009 and later worked the program's special teams in 2012-2013. The past four seasons Mangin has spent as the special teams coordinator at Northwestern State (FCS - LA).

Ursinus (D-III - PA): Archbishop Wood HS (PA) head coach Steve Devlin has stepped down to join the staff as an assistant coach. Devlin posted a 132-22-1 record with five state titles at Archbishop Wood.

Austin Peay (FCS - TN): Source tells FootballScoop that Rod Ojong, who spent the past several years at North Carolina in graduate assistant and analyst roles, has been hired to coach the corners at Austin Peay.

Saint Anselm (D-II - NH): Saint Anselm is looking to hire a full-time offensive coordinator. The assistant coach is responsible for participating in the supervision and direction of all aspects of team functions. Duties include practice planning, coordinating, scouting, video analysis, skill and team instruction, on-field coaching and all phases of recruiting and responsibilities as assigned by the head coach. Other areas of responsibility will be assigned by the head coach. In addition, the assistant coach must become familiar with, adhere to, and enforce all the policies and procedures of the Athletic Department and Saint Anselm College, as well as the rules and regulations of the NCAA, ECAC, NE-10, and any other authorities that affect the intercollegiate athletic program. Qualifications include a bachelor's degree and four or more years college coaching experience. The successful candidate will also have good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Lafayette (FCS - PA): John Van Dam has joined the coaching staff as offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach and Kevin Callahan Jr. will coach the running backs, the school has announced. Van Dam was the offensive coordinator at Southern Illinois (FCS) the past two seasoons and also has prior experience on staffs at Florida (offensive quality control), and Alabama (offensive graduate assistant) while Callahan Jr. just finished his third season as an offensive quality control coach at Columbia (FCS - NY).

Baylor: Richmond Foster HS (TX) head coach Shaun McDowell has resigned and will join the Baylor staff in the player personnel department, per Matt Stepp.

Michigan: Former Lions offensive line coach Ron Prince is joining the staff as an offensive analyst, per multiple outlets.

Cabrillo (JC - CA): Cabrillo College has restricted earning positions on offense or defense. Applicants must have college or high school varsity coaching experience. Special teams experience is preferred but not required. Regional applicants strongly urged to apply but accepting all applicants. Bachelor degree required. Robert Morris (FCS - PA): Per source, New Mexico offensive graduate assistant Jacob Bronowski has accepted a job coaching the tight ends and working with special teams at Robert Morris.

Gardner Webb (FCS - NC): Per source, Taylor Anderson has been hired as the inside linebackers coach after spending last season working with the defensive backs at Limestone (D-II - SC).

Iowa State: As we previously reported was expected to happen following the departure of offensive coordinator Tom Manning to the Colts as tight ends coach, Iowa State has now announced that Jeff Myers (a graduate assistant the past two seasons for the program) is being promoted to offensive line coach, and tenth assistant Joe Houston (who was associate for quality control for special teams last season) is the team's special teams coordinator. Also, Joe Gordon is being promoted from offensive analyst to quarterbacks coach.

Montana State-Northern (NAIA): Brandon George, who previously served as a graduate assistant in the strength program at Grambling, will be the new defensive line coach for the program, source tells FootballScoop.

Ohio State: Peter Badovinac has joined the Buckeyes staff as a defensive graduate assistant working with the linebackers, per source. Badovinac spent the past three seasons at Missouri State (FCS), where he most recently coached the linebackers.

North Alabama (FCS): Jeremy Hawkins, the former assistant defensive line coach / director of player personnel at UAB, has accepted the defensive line job, per source.

Assumption (D-III - MA): Luke Bakanowsky has left Nichols College (D-III - MA), where he was the offensive coordinator, to become the wide receivers coach at Assumption.

Iron Bowl: Alabama gets a nice jab in at Auburn while Tide QB Jalen Hurts wears an Auburn jersey on Bama's campus.
