Nebraska: We alluded to this last week; and now Dan Wolken has published the same. Sources told FootballScoop Arkansas AD Jeff Long, along with several other sitting ADs, had signaled his interest in the same position at Nebraska. Wolken says "Long is a name that has gained traction recently" in the search and adds Iowa State Jaime Pollard and Oregon's Rob Mullens as others who have been mentioned in connection with the search.

NCAA: After years of investigative & review work, today the NCAA announced no sanctions against the University of North Carolina in connection with their long-standing academic's scandal. In short, the NCAA's findings were along the lines of, UNC's "classes" were bogus; but because they were available to all students, not just student athletes, there is nothing we can do. The internet took the news in stride...

James Franklin: James Franklin has issued a response to a report that Texas A&M was preparing to make a run at him.

Virginia: Two names being "consistently" mentioned for the vacant Virginia AD job, according to The Daily Press, are Army AD Boo Corrigan, and Georgia deputy AD Carla Williams. The article adds that the eight-member search committee interviewed candidates in New York on September 24th.

Lincoln University (D-II - PA):Lincoln University is looking to fill several open dates. Open dates include Sept. 1, 2018 and Sept. 15, 2018. In 2019 we are open Aug. 31, Sept. 7 and Sept. 14th.
