Warner (NAIA - FL): Head coach Rod Shafer has announced he will retire at the end of this season. Shafer has been in coaching for 43 years and at Warner since 2014. He led Warner to the NCCAA national championship in 2016 and is in two separate halls of fame, one in Florida and the other in Indiana. Warner's season ends on Nov. 10.

Maryland: DJ Durkin, Damon Evans and UMD president Wallace Loh are all expected to meet with the Board of Regents this afternoon per the Washington Post. The Board advises no public statement will be released following this meeting either. The stated goal remains to make public recommendations early next week.

Purdue: Jeff Brohm has a message for folks who think he's leaving Purdue this off season.

McMaster University (Canada): Greg Knox has been let go after three seasons leading the program and a 15-6 record. Last month, Knox was suspended for a total of three games after an alleged incident with an official during a game.

The most fascinating CFP contender to watch over the season's last month is....

West Virginia: Dana Holgorsen is due a $25,000 bonus for hitting six wins and getting to bowl eligibility and Shane Lyons is set for a bonus of at least $18,750, per Steve Berkowitz.

Georgia Southern: Chad Lunsford picks up a bonus of $6,000 after their win over Appalachian State got them to seven wins, Steve Berkowitz tweets.

Quincy (D-II - IL): Quincy University has an opening for two student assistants. The student assistants will get the opportunity to gain coaching experience and be involved in all aspects of the program. There is scholarship money available for each position. Louisville: Both Bobby Petrino and director of athletics Vince Tyra issued statements yesterday clarifying when they learned the relevant facts of the latest scandal to hit the program. See the final sentence here, how does this make any sense?
