The best play from Friday night...that didn't count

LSU: LSU Board of Supervisors will consider an amendment to Les Miles' contract next week reports NOLA.com. The amendment would allow Miles to earn an additional $100,000 should the Tigers win the National Championship. The genesis of the amendment is due to the fact that there is now a semi-final game involved which wasn't around when Miles entered into this contract agreement. Miles' contract pays him $4.3 million per year prior to incentives.

Charleston Southern: Head coach Jamey Chadwell has been suspended by the university in response to a Secondary / Level III NCAA recruiting violation. Chadwell will serve his suspension October 8th against Albany State. Also, an unnamed defensive assistant is being suspended for a game as well and he will miss the Florida State game on September 10. The suspension stems from an impermissible social media contact. The University added, "We support Coach Chadwell and his staff and are certain that these issues have been addressed and resolved. We are excited about the season at hand and are confident that they will continue to help lead our football program in a first-class manner." Scott added more color on this in a short video here.
