Ohio State: Wide receivers coach Zach Smith has been dismissed.

Southern Utah: With Rod Chance leaving for Oregon, head coach Demario Warren will now plan to call the defense this season. Additionally, Warren has promoted CJ Wilford to full time position coach to complete the full-time staff.

Oregon: Southern Utah defensive coordinator/defensive backs coach Rod Chance will join the staff as a defensive analyst, tweets Bruce Feldman.

Wayne State (D-II - NE): Wayne State College located in Wayne, Nebraska has an immediate opening for one Graduate Assistant coach. The Graduate Assistant’s primary coaching responsibilities will be working with Wide Receivers. Previous playing and/or coaching experience is required. The position requires a highly motivated person to assist with the implementation of practices, evaluation of prospective student athletes, off and on campus recruiting, scouting opponents, and other duties as assigned by the head coach. Applicants must qualify for the State of Nebraska defensive driving certificate. Graduate Assistantships are granted based on acceptance into Graduate School at Wayne State College. This is a 10 month reporting position with a $650.00 stipend per month ($6500.00 total) and tuition waiver for the academic year. Kentucky Christian (NAIA): Kentucky Christian University has immediate GA openings on both the offensive and defensive sides of the football. Applicants must have strong Christian Faith and work within Kentucky Christian University’s Christian mission. New hires will have their own recruiting areas and will be responsible for coaching and managing their own positions, including meetings. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, film breakdown, data entry, assisting with special teams, recruiting, running position meetings, assisting with game preparation, and any other duties assigned by the head coach. The position will include tuition for Graduate School in either the Christian Leadership or Teacher Leadership Program, housing, and meals. UW-Stout (D-III - WI): UW-Stout is accepting applications for an offensive graduate assistant, primarily working with either tight ends or running backs. This is a 9 month contract with a $10,000 Stipend. Must have Bachelor Degree. Must pursue a Master’s Degree at UW-Stout. Truman State (D-II - MO): Truman State is seeking applicants for a defensive restricted earning position, preferably DB or LB. This position will help with all defensive administrative work, assisting in preparation of game planning material and opponent film breakdown. The position will include a monthly stipend of $1,000 and will be a 10 month contract. There are no other benefits associated with this position (housing, classes, or meals). Monmouth (FCS - NJ): Monmouth University is looking for a volunteer quality control position on Offense. The position is unpaid, no housing, no meals, no benefits. The position will begin August 1st. Pace (D-II - NY): Pace University has an opening for a full-time defensive coach (more than likely working with the defensive backs). This position will team coach the defensive backs until the candidate becomes productive and proficient with the group. The position will recruit a primary area in person. The position with have additional ancillary responsibilities associated with the football program. Applicants should have coaching experience (preferably college coaching experience and / or defensive coaching experience). Candidates will have a team approach and will be open to learning an existing system on a tight timeline. Fayetteville State (D-II - NC): Fayetteville State University is looking to fill an Offensive Quality Control Coach position with a focus on Running Back or Tight End play for the upcoming season. Experience with HUDL and film upload is preferred. Responsibilities for this position include assisting in coaching either the RB’s or TE’s, breaking down film of future opponents, assisting in creation of weekly scouting reports, and other tasks as assigned by the Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator. Art Briles: A deal is in the works for Briles to coach a football team in Florence, Italy, according to Mac Engel of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Briles, 62, has not coached since his ouster at Baylor in May of 2016.
