Stephen F. Austin (FCS - TX): SFA has suspended head coach Clint Conque indefinitely amid an investigation into "alleged violations of university policy." The school's full statement: "Stephen F. Austin State University has suspended head football coach Clint Conque pending an investigation into alleged violations of university policy. The investigation is expected to take several weeks. No comments will be made by the university until the investigation is complete." Conque has been the Lumberjacks' head coach since 2014; he is 21-25 over that span, including a 4-7 mark last year.
VMI (FCS): After spending the last two seasons as a graduate assistant at Indiana, Bill Cosh has been introduced as the new wide receivers coach for the VMI program.
US Coast Guard (D-III - CT): The United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT is seeking applications for an assistant football coach. The essential duties include assisting with an offensive skill position (Wide Receivers) and using the video editing system (currently HUDL) to break down film. Other related duties may be assigned by the head coach. This is a temporary position that runs from early August through November 25th. Candidates should have experience with HUDL, experience coaching an offensive skill position, and college football playing experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred and candidates must demonstrate an understanding of NCAA Division III rules. Siena Heights (NAIA - MI): Siena Heights is seeking qualified applicants for a graduate assistant opening. The position will work on the offensive side of the ball. The graduate assistant will report to the offensive coordinator and head football coach. Duties will include coaching a position, recruiting a specific area, academic monitoring, administrative duties, extensive video breakdown of games and practices, opponent scout as well as some equipment and laundry duties. Additional duties may be assigned by the head coach, defensive coordinator or the director of athletics. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, a valid driver’s license, and playing experience/coaching experience at the collegiate level. Strong communication skills and ability to recruit high academic and quality student-athletes is a must. Experience with Hudl digital editing system is a MUST. Compensation includes a salary of $6,000 and full tuition remission. Positions are contingent upon admittance into Siena Heights University Graduate School.
