FIU: FIU has announced the hiring of former Miami quarterback Ken Dorsey as an assistant athletics director. Dorsey played for Panthers coach Butch Davis with the 'Canes and spent the past five seasons as the quarterbacks coach for the Carolina Panthers.

Washington & Jefferson (D-III - PA): The Washington & Jefferson College Department of Athletics is offering a coaching internship available in the sport of football to provide a hands-on learning experience with a NCAA Division III sports organization. The program will educate interns on specific aspects of the duties of a head coach, including recruiting (approximately 30 percent), practice planning (approximately 10 percent), on-field instruction (approximately 40 percent) and video editing and other assigned duties (approximately 10 percent). The program offers a stipend, housing and a monthly meal stipend. A Bachelor's degree is required. Defensive Secondary playing and/or coaching experience at the collegiate level is preferred. The position will require excellent communication skills and knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Louisville: Louisville has named interim AD Vince Tyra to its full-time post. His contract, pending board approval, will be five years at $850,000 per year, per Mark Ennis. Ennis also reports that U of L's permanent president has the right to fire Tyra without cause within 12 months of his or her hiring.

Utah: AD Chris Hill plans to retire this Spring. Hill has served as AD at Utah 31 years. We should all be so lucky. Congratulations on a great run.

Steve Spurrier: HBC coming back to the sidelines?!?!

Southwest Minnesota State (D-II - MN): Per source, Mitch Fair has joined the staff as defensive line coach. Fair previously served as a defensive volunteer on the UCF defensive staff.

Maine (FCS): Andrew Dresner has joined the staff as wide receivers coach and Dean Petzing has been hired to coach the tight ends. Dresner was the offensive coordinator at Pace University (D-II - NY) last year and Petzing was the assistant line coach at Ball State. Also, outside linebackers coach Jared Keyte has been promoted to special teams coordinator.

Oregon: University of Oregon is seeking to hire a director of player development. This position will serve as the football administrator for the development of student-athletes in areas including, but not limited to life skills, academic, career preparedness and alumni relations. Bentley (D-II - MA): Per source,Bentley University has hired Brown University (FCS) quarterbacks coach / pass game coordinator Todd Parsons as the program's new offensive coordinator.

Susquehanna (D-III - PA): Susquehanna University seeks assistant football coach working with the Safeties. Preferred candidates will have prior experience playing and/or coaching in the secondary. Candidates will be responsible for coaching their own position group, on the road recruiting in a specific area, film editing/breakdown (HUDL), and all other duties assigned by the head football coach. A Bachelor’s degree and valid driver’s license is required. Salary range is $6,000- 8,000. No housing, but some meals are included. Candidates will be expected to be here 9-10 months. Union (D-III - NY): Kevin Tragonis, the offensive line coach at Castleton State (D-III - VT) has been hired as offensive coordinator / offensive line coach at Union, per source.

Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology (JC - PA): Longtime Thaddeus Stevens College assistant Anthony Sottasante has accepted the head coaching job at Tussey Mountain HS (PA), source tells FootballScoop.

Adams State (D-II - CO): The Adams State program is looking to hire a defensive intern (DL or DB). This position will be assigned coaching and other responsibilities as directed by the head coach and/or defensive coordinator.
