Long-time NFL coach Gunther Cunningham has died. Please keep his friends and family in your prayers. Over his 47 year career, Cunningham coached the Colts, Chargers, Raiders, Chiefs, Titans and Lions. He also coached at the collegiate level working on staffs at Oregon, Arkansas, Stanford and Cal. He will be missed by many. God bless.
Simon Fraser (D-II – BC): Simon Fraser University, a Division II school in Burnaby, B.C., Canada, is looking for an Offensive Assistant. This is stipend position with no housing or benefits. Oberlin (D-III - OH): The Oberlin College Department of Athletics and Physical Education invites applications for the position of Assistant Coach of Football /Defensive Assistant. This is a full-time, 12-month Administrative and Professional Staff position, reporting to the Head Coach of Football and working with the Director of Athletics and Physical Education. Bachelor’s degree required; 1-2 years coaching and/or relevant competitive experience; collegiate playing experience preferred; solid administrative skills and the ability to motivate staff and volunteers to achieve administrative goals. Texas A&M Commerce (D-II): Texas A&M Commerce is now accepting applications for defensive line graduate assistant. Responsibilities include; film breakdown/scouting reports, offensive scout team coaching/organization, on-campus recruiting visits, academic class checks/study hall monitoring, in addition to other responsibilities designated by the head coach, defensive coordinator, and defensive line coach. Experience with Hudl, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, etc. is preferred. Requirements: GPA of 2.9 or higher in undergraduate studies, a valid driver’s license, and ability to pass background check. Further details of compensation (pay and graduate program coverages) will be provided to prospective candidates. Dakota College at Bottineaau (JC - ND): Dakota College at Bottineau has an opening for an offensive line coach for the 2019 season. Responsibilities include coaching a position group, assisting in formulating game plans, some special teams duties, and some recruiting and S&C duties. Other duties on campus for extra pay will most likely be available including, but not limited to tutoring and academic monitoring of student-athletes. Salary for just the coaching aspect will be in the 3500-4000 range with a starting date of July 16, 2019 for either the season or the entire school year if interested in some Residence Life duties.
