AstroTurf: National high school football powerhouse is building a showcase stadium, and a global icon will take center stage. St. John Bosco, the 2016 Open Division California State Champions, have officially selected AstroTurf® as the playing surface for their new football stadium. The stadium is scheduled to open in summer of 2018.

Monmouth (D-III - IL): Monmouth College has an opening for an assistant coaching intern. Experience with QBs or WRs preferred, but will consider all candidates. USA Football: USA Football announced today the hiring of Mike Krueger to serve as its director of coaching. Krueger joins USA Football following four years as Aurora (CO) Public Schools’ district athletic director. Throughout his 26 years of service in public education Krueger has held several leadership roles and committee appointments with the Colorado High School Activities Association, the Colorado Athletic Directors Association (CADA) and the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA). His work will involve USA Football’s adaption of the U.S. Olympic Committee’s American Development Model for football, USA Football’s medical and football advisory committees and coaching education projects.

DePauw (D-III - IN): DePauw University is accepting applications for a defensive coach. This is a renewable, 10-month part-time appointment and does not include benefits. This position serves as one of two part-time assistant coaches for the football program. The part-time assistant coach will contribute in all facets of program management including coaching a defensive position, recruiting, practice and game preparation, student-athlete development, and administrative responsibilities related to running a successful program. High school diploma or GED, required; Bachelor's Degree, preferred. Collegiate playing and/or coaching experience preferred. Candidate must have demonstrated organizational and time-management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. Current certification in first aid, CPR and AED is required and must be maintained throughout their appointment with DePauw University. ESPN: College football analyst Booger McFarland will be a field analyst on ESPN's Monday Night Football coverage, according to Richard Deitsch of The Athletic. Jason Witten was previously confirmed as the booth analyst.

Ohio Northern (D-III): Ohio Northern University is seeking an entry level, assistant coach position on the defensive side of the football. Defensive back playing or coaching experience required. Temple: Geoff Collins and a group of eight Owls will embark this week on a 9-day tour teaching college football in Japan.

Purdue: Tennessee's interest in Jeff Brohm during their head coaching search had an interesting effect on recruiting for the Boilermakers.

New York Jets: The Jets have parted ways with national scout Jim Jauch, per a tweet from Neil Stratton. Jauch had been with the team since 2010 and previously worked with the Chargers.

Findlay (D-II - OH): Following the departure of offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Troy Rothenbuhler, who left for a job with the Arizona Cardinals, run game coordinator / offensive line coach Kory Allen has been promoted to offensive coordinator and Kyle Ohradzansky is moving into the quarterbacks coach job after two years in a graduate assistant role with the program.

Oregon State vs. Hawaii: The Beavers mistakenly sent current Hawaii players some recruiting mailings and coach Rolo called them out publicly. Oregon State later released a statement trying to explain the blunder.

Dakota State (NAIA - SD): Dakota State University is looking to hire a half football/half baseball coach. Would prefer candidates that have playing and/or coaching experience at either the Collegiate and/or High School levels for both sports. For the Football half of coaching we are looking for Offensive and Special Teams experience, and for the Baseball half we are looking for a Catching and Batting coach. Bachelor’s degree required, non-negotiable starting salary is $24,650 a year for a 10-month contract, and must be willing to get a CDL license. No teaching is required, but there will be other duties as assigned by each head coach and the athletic director. Please, no phone calls or emails. Humboldt State (D-II - CA): Interim head coach Damaro Wheeler will lead the program through the 2018 season, the school has announced. Wheeler joined the staff in the spring of 2017 as defensive backs coach and special teams coordinator and was tabbed interim head coach in February.

Monday Night Football: Booger McFarland is joining the MNF team as a field analyst - which is a new position for the MNF broadcasting team, Richard Deitsch tweets. McFarland, who previously worked as an analyst for SEC Network, joins the MNF team currently comprised of Joe Tessitore, Jason Witten, and Lisa Salters.
